I found some motors. They look 130-180 sized. They are supposed to be brushless.

Cool! You can get round brushless motors of that size from any place that sells 1/18 scale RC car parts and upgrades. A good place to look is nitrorcx.com if you're interested.

These are not round; they're "flat". They look to have a similar shape to 130 and 180 motors, so I would like for someone to confirm if these are similar, if not compatible, with demolisher, cam ecs12, etc flywheel cages.

Well, if you are running an 11 volt system, these would run at 93,000 rpm. Kinda scary if you ask me.
And at 3 times the price of Xtreme Pro 180's, not sure if they are a good idea. Maybe I am missing something in wanting to stay with brush motors? Is there an advantage to brushless motors?

You have a point, but that would have hilariously horrible accuracy. Though the question still hasn't been answered: Would it fit? If it does then it would make one heck of a pusher motor.

they are described as rc car motors and normally the size of choice for rc cars is a 130 motor so it is most likely that they will fit. Not sure why you would spend so much on a motor considering xtreme pro 180's are already scary enough.

to quickly answer why. there a couple reasons. long runtime, really quiet, almost no spinup time.
as for the motor 2 things bad about it. with the number of fins on the body, it may heat up.
2nd, site says its discontinued.
