Centurion plunger assembly

Well, I havent seen anything on the plunger assmbly for this gun. Seeing as how I got mine for 10 bucks at fred meyers, ill give it a shot.

This is the first thing I noticed...

Smack this part where it meets the plunger with a hammer. Do it all the way aroud to braek the glue, and remove the one screw

The ya have it. The plunger is also tapered, so only the last like 2 inches actually gets any compression with this seal. Same with the Magnus. Any questions? Just be aware, that if it doesn't break the glue just right, you will have to repair the plunger tube where it separates. If that makes sense

Is the point of this to simply allow access to the plunger tube internals?
As far as I can tell this is the case but I am unsure if it is to accomplish
something else as well.
