It's a late start to the season, but I'm going to see how many wars we can squeeze in between now and when it gets too cold to nerf outside. (Maybe we can find an indoor venue for winter wars)

When: Friday July 19, 2013 5:30 P.M. – Dark (9:00 ish) There will be a set time when we will do our final dart sweep so we don’t get stuck trying to find darts in the dark.

Where: Falcon Crest Park. It's at the end of 4065 S
Here is a map to show where the park is relative to 7200W and 4100S:

Alternate location: TBD. (feel free to give suggestions) We will meet at the primary location even if it is full, and move as a group to the alternate. EDIT: Shmmee assured me that we shouldn't have any trouble using the primary location. On the small chance that we do have to relocate, there is an elementary school with a large field and a couple parks pretty close by.

What to bring:
*EYE PROTECTION! Eye protection is required for everyone in attendance!
*WATER! (It can still be hot in the evening - don’t get dehydrated!)
*2+ Primaries- Sometimes they crap out on you
*Pistol
*Some kind of weird blaster that doesn’t shoot quite right for the awfuls round (shoots 35 feet or less)
*Darts!- All darts must be padded- I’m not really worried about weight, but be reasonable. NO EXPOSED METAL!
*Friends- We are always looking for more participants! Please bring extra primaries/ secondaries/ darts for your guests to use! I have a limited number of primaries to lend out, and I really don’t have enough darts to lend out to people. (Unless I become a dart making robot for the next two weeks) I don’t mind lending blasters/ darts to new people, but please make newcomers aware that eventually they will be expected to own and maintain their own blasters/ darts.
*Loaner blasters and darts! Since I have a limited amount, those are always appreciated.
*Your B+ game and a good attitude! We Nerf for the fun of it- Not the win. We’ve never had a problem with bad sportsmanship, so I’m not too worried about this. Just don’t be a douche and have fun.
*Stuff you’ve been working on to show off!
*MOBSTACLES! I don't have any, but if you guys have anything that can be used as cover, it would be greatly appreciated.

Blaster Restrictions:
Again- Not too worried about this. We’ve got a good group here, and I’ve never seen anyone try to use something crazy. Singled titans and plugged 4B’s are banned as usual, but everything else is on a case- by- case basis. Just don’t bring something crazy overpowered and expect to be able to use it. I'd say nothing that shoots further than 130'

Feel free to ask questions/ let me know if I left something out.

Confirmed attendees:
Me +1 (maybe 2-3 more?)
shmmee +1
A couple kids from Shmmee's neighborhood

As Panda said, I don't think there is a way to fight gravity without a guaranteed loss. You could use magnets, but no one knows how those things work except the Mormons.

Or lasers. You should integrate some lasers into your Nerf darts. Problem solved.

Sweet! I'm going to try to contact my +1 again to confirm his attendance.

EDIT 7/10/13:
I made a few small edits to the thread- It wouldn't hurt to re-read it. TL;DR: Eye protection is mandatory, and no blasters that exceed 130' in range.

Also, I made a crap ton of slugs yesterday (making my total count 300). I'm in the process of digging through all of my stefans and pulling out all of the war worthy/ safe ones so I should be able to pull together another 150-200 just in case. (any working gumdrops 2.0/2.5 I can make will be a bonus). I should be able to lend darts to a few people, but (as the thread says) please try to bring enough darts for yourself and your guests.

Now to tune up/ fix all of my primaries and finish my bull pump...

Apologies for the double post- I think a post war recap warrants a new post.

Had a great time! (I'm pretty sure everyone else did too). Many Effeminate battles, great people to geek out with, and the most attended war I've been to so far. Had a major brain fart and ran the wrong way when playing capture the flag, and had an awesome (and intense) 1v1 awfuls round battle with shmmee's cousin- Him with a Buzz Bee Jaguar, and me with my Hunter. Hopefully got my friend and his brother hooked on this hobby too :D Also, after using a bunch of gumdrop 2.0 darts, I was very happy with their performance, and I will never be making slugs again. Gumdrop 2.0's FTW!

Feel free to post about your most memorable moments at this war, and plan for the next one. Let's keep this thread active and show activity in our area. Time to start planning the next war...

I'm hoping (as long as everyone is into it and available ) to get wars going every 1-3 weeks until snow flies. After that we should try to find an indoor location. I'll get some dates going to see when everyone else is available.

That was pretty awesome. It's an odd war when you're completely surprised by how well your blasters are all performing. My rscb panther was shooting lasers and my marshmallow crossbow (with the borrowed petg barrel - thanks Glory1610) was double and tripple feeding darts each shot and still keeping a good range.
I've gotta vote the awfuls round as my favorite. When else could you unload a middle storm at point blank range, miss with all 4 missiles and still have a great time? Finding out a hunter can act as a 2 shot inline clip with 1 1/2" steffans was pretty funny too.
Great turn out, great time, great to be with other nerfers!

Indeed!I was surprised that none of my blasters crapped out on me besides a RainBow stock snapping off. Can't wait for the next one!
