I live in Canada, but I never get a freaking war because its never in Quebec. "Montreal" which is as good as vancouver and they both own Toronto.

*burns toronto maple leafs flag*

Now now, we hardly hate any of you Eastern Canadians. ...It's not election day! :)

I do believe I'm going to start a new thread regarding this intermediary war.

Edit: And here we are. I'm going to E-mail or PM (in that order of preference) all Van kids on NH, due to the immediacy of this event. Please don't feel too bothered.

Edit^2: Also, as to "my group"'s stats, I actually convinced one of my friends into coming! He'll likely be bringing an automatic and a few pistols, maybe even his SS2 with combined SM1500, pending. Seems like one-shot-wonders won't be suited to the warehouse, if we end up defaulting to that.
He kicks ass at Silent Scope, and performs similarily in Nerf, so take warning... And possibly a helmet. :D

I've contacted a few of you as to your attendance. Judging by the responses, we may change location back to the warehouse. Please note this possible change, it will be decided as of the 21st.

Hopefully the Nerf Vancouver site will be up within the month.
Fill out this form if you would like a profile on the upcomming site.

Oops, thats is supposed to be web1000, not 100.

IMPORTANT
LOCATION: THE WAREHOUSE

Please read the above newsletter.

Unit 123
1551 Broadway, Port Coquitlam.
1300 to 1430(ish)

Eye protection
Arsenal
Ammo
Snack and drink

I suggest you also bring a pair of gloves. The floor is polish concrete, so it's hard but not rough. I've Nerfed there before, and I find gloves help. Because of the floor condition, I would suggest wearing pants. If it's too warm, bring a pair of shorts, also. Your choice. Wear good shoes, no sandals (ahem). You could also bring a few dollars for trades and such.

Zero, I will bring the remaining $2 I owe you for the NF. Oh, and I'll bring my Blast Bazooka, the unmodded one. Those huge whistling darts can actually knock over boxes.

EDIT: 1 week, people!
Here are some drawings of the warehouse.... beautiful, I know. As of the parking lot... imagine this. 100' by... I dunno... 1000'? Remember, we have ALOT of boxes, so cover is whatever we want it to be. Anything from Speedball to hide-n-go-seek. Messurements are a guess....

This is going to kick ass... Hopefully, it doesn't rain. Too many people are turned off by rain... But some of my favourite wars involve rainy nights, maglites, and rusty springs.

Anyways, I'll be there for sure. I'll be bringing my friend Grant (Snipe2kill on the forums for one post back in the day, if you can find it I'll buy you a drink), and we should be there on time with no worries. Except for failing Nerf guns.
Now, I have some bad news for you guys... I couldn't get the Blastfire facsimiles off the ground. Hopefully you've long forgotten my boast last war. :nugget:
Blasted things are all about leaking, as I don't yet have access to accurate enough tools and materials to create the kind of 90ยบ seal I need. The material side is in the mail from the US, but unfortunately they'll come too late for the war. Between Grant and I, we'll be bringing 3 automatics, though, so fun should ensue.

We'll be using collared stefans (built for two different PVC ID's) and stefan micros, as well as a whole bunch of crappy stefan micros from back in my day for use in the autos. You'll know their crappy appearance when you see them littering the floor of the warehouse in a big outline of Hunter's crouched shape. Damn automatics...

Hope to see most of you there!

Ooh, that's a good one.

Just came back from my trip to Oregon. I picked up an N-Strike at a Walmart Super-Center. Yay! I have 24 hours to mod it... great. I've been working on alot of high quality darts, coloured hot glue and all.

Too bad about the semi-autos. I know your superior boasting will prevail eventually. Remember, this war is rain or shine. It's indoors... We can go outside if we want to...

Time to work, lots of stuff to do. Get everything ready for the war, and then move 2 days after it.

UPDATE: Turtle cancelled... an exact 27 hours before the Nerf war, he cancelled. He confirmed over 2 months ago. Gah...

UPDATE: Archangel cancelled an exact 26 hours and 13 minutes before the Nerf war.

Zero, I found use 1/2" CPVC and it doesn't fit my darts, even though they are the exact same OD as your's are w/o the collar. I still don't understand, I can't find a PVC/CPVC that fits my darts... if you have any left over from your BF, could you please bring it? It would be very much appreciated.
PS. This is exactly what I thought would happen, with people dropping out and such... glad I changed it back to the warehouse.

THE COUNTDOWN IS ON!
Also, if you have a digital cam corder, please bring it. Maybe we could get a Vancouver video going.
Yes, I'm still waiting for the VANS2 pictures. I think Cx has been busy lately, he hasn't answered any PMs and such.

Bring CDs and a portable player if you want music. I'm bringing a MD full of stuff and laptop speakers.

UPDATE: Steel Soul cancelled 1 hour and 30 minutes before the war. I honestly don't know what to say.

The recent lack of dedication shown my some Vancouver Nerfers, including 2 of my closest friends has astonished me. With cancellations mear hours before the war... It bugs me. My friends Turtle and Steel Soul, who I thought I had, in a way, "recruited" to Nerf, now let me down with a lack of dedication to thier word, the game, and let alone our friendship. They confirmed over a month ago. Now, Turtle has a sudden hockey game. Steel Soul comes down with the flu within the hour after he said he could come. Archangel said "Something came up". Raiden was nowhere to be found... again. It's ok, I hold nothing against them.
Anyone else in the NIC ever have problems like this? Comfort me...
Oh well, just take a deep breath. We had an awesome time.
VANS3, which I was hoping for upwards of 10 people, was down to 4. Zero, Snipe2Kill, myself, and my father. But it was great. Zero will post some pictures of the warehouse, but there will be no VANS3 pictures due to the attendance, of lack there of.
The next VANS, if I can muster the last hope I have and organize another with more than 2 guests, will be during Winter Break. Stay active on the forums and look for it.
Even though I wish more people were there, we still had fun. How would you not at a warehouse with automatics? (This was the first time ever I had seen an automatic weapon. We had a PC, WF, and RF20. I've never been hit so many times in my life.) I got to try out my Hornet, which was surprisingly good, and my RSCB, which (for some reason unbeknownst to be) let me down with poor range and lack of reliability. I'll have to look over it.
Main points: My two unmodded Blast Bazooka whistling dart kills. Heh. How about me trying to run up the stairs while Mike empties a Wildfire on my head? And my dad getting hit in the gun (NF) 3 consecutive times in under 2 minutes. I really want an automatic, now. Such great, mindless fun.

Thank you, Mike and Grant.

Im really sorry, work owned me again, possibly even Pwned. Anyways sorry for not getting back to you earlier, suffice to say my Manager who usually does the scheduling was flown out to pidgeon River Ontario for a month and my carefully arranged plans went with her. Which is why I missed work yesterday since I had scheduled it off been given the A okay and then scheduled anyways. But that is another story.

Sincerest Regrets,

Raiden

Indeed, I need people to ship us RF20's from Amazon. $10 is too good a value to pass up.

Anyways, yes, it was fun. Interesting to Nerf with Grant again... I didn't think he used to pwn me so much... It must have been the lack of Crossbow. It's my phallic symbol of confidence and power. Most people use Chevies; I guess I lose.

Now, it's just depressing so few people are coming out... I mean, no worries, work sucks, but I always considered the game quite fun, and hard to pass up, at least in large attendance situations. Same kind of thing happened with a few youth groups back in my day, though... So it's not unusual. Hard to organize this many people. You do a good job, Hunter. Just get an automatic.
