The recent lack of dedication shown my some Vancouver Nerfers, including 2 of my closest friends has astonished me. With cancellations mear hours before the war... It bugs me. My friends Turtle and Steel Soul, who I thought I had, in a way, "recruited" to Nerf, now let me down with a lack of dedication to thier word, the game, and let alone our friendship. They confirmed over a month ago. Now, Turtle has a sudden hockey game. Steel Soul comes down with the flu within the hour after he said he could come. Archangel said "Something came up". Raiden was nowhere to be found... again. It's ok, I hold nothing against them.
Anyone else in the NIC ever have problems like this? Comfort me...
Oh well, just take a deep breath. We had an awesome time.
VANS3, which I was hoping for upwards of 10 people, was down to 4. Zero, Snipe2Kill, myself, and my father. But it was great. Zero will post some pictures of the warehouse, but there will be no VANS3 pictures due to the attendance, of lack there of.
The next VANS, if I can muster the last hope I have and organize another with more than 2 guests, will be during Winter Break. Stay active on the forums and look for it.
Even though I wish more people were there, we still had fun. How would you not at a warehouse with automatics? (This was the first time ever I had seen an automatic weapon. We had a PC, WF, and RF20. I've never been hit so many times in my life.) I got to try out my Hornet, which was surprisingly good, and my RSCB, which (for some reason unbeknownst to be) let me down with poor range and lack of reliability. I'll have to look over it.
Main points: My two unmodded Blast Bazooka whistling dart kills. Heh. How about me trying to run up the stairs while Mike empties a Wildfire on my head? And my dad getting hit in the gun (NF) 3 consecutive times in under 2 minutes. I really want an automatic, now. Such great, mindless fun.
Thank you, Mike and Grant.
