When this biography is complete, it will be printed out and sent to all major influences in the NIC for approval, and I will take all feedback and revisions and finalize them to be published to every forum and printed for every nerfer to keep. This is going to be big guys and will hopefully be remembered for generations. Keep that in mind as we travel this journey together.

I greatly appreciate you including me in this list of possible subjects. I am quite willing to help in any way possible.
Well the first chapter of this biography will be the History of Nerf. What you can do is forward me links to where I can get the full low down on NERF and Lanard. Send all info through PM. I appreciate your willingness to help Draconis.

Carbon was a major contributor to homemades in the nerfing community, so he deserves a few honorable mentions... and an interview would be cool.

Make sure you include the glorious butt conquests of the LGLF.

I will need to be informed Righteous. I have only been apart of the NIC myself for a year. Yes, I should include interviews of the ones that have revolutionized the NIC. I have no clue what the LGLF is.

Together we are The Lawn Gnome Liberation Front: the Ass-Kickingest, Arm-Missingest, Beer-Drinkingest, Flank-Rushingest, Comeback-Makingest, Nation-Invadingest Nerf Clan in North America, and perhaps the world.

I think he was referring to that wannabe vampire guy.
Anyways, it might be a good idea to include different dart making methods used throughout the ages. i.e. glue domes, slugs, etc. Speaking of slugs, include Captain Slug. Even though he isn't around anymore, he did contribute a lot of great stuff.
Include the angel breech, the hopper, the RSCB and whatever other loading mechanisms you may find out there.
Include the 4B and it's modern OPV relocated variants.
Plus-bow.
X-bow.
Kane's HAMP. Those are pretty cool.
Besides those specifics, look into some of the origins of the NIC and some of the first popular blasters and modifications that came a lot with it. Mention popular wars (Armageddon, Apocalypse etc.)
Make sure, however, you don't make us all look like even bigger nerds than we already are.

You are clearly mistaken. That guy has a stupid username and doesn't photograph well. I, on the other hand, am quite photogenic, and make a much better subject of study.
Also, I am quite certain that Carbon is correct.

Here is a family tree of all super soakers.

You could probably just start at the general reference thread, as many of the greatest and original mods are posted there. The modification reference thread for the Longshot is also a nice place to check out since the Longshot has played such a big piece in the NIC.

There's a good chance that you know of most of this already, but hopefully some of it helped. Good luck.
And if it means anything, I also agree with Draconis.

Also to include how people moving, or influential modders in the NIC have made more Nerfers in areas of the world. Example would be SGnerf, Athanie, Psyk in the areas of Asia, and The Unholy 3 in the North West (correct me if I am wrong there).

Also, how nerf scenes develop is likely influenced by surrounding areas and certain individuals. For example, DC nerf as the NIC knows it only began after our interaction with other nerfers at the first ECNO (in Delaware). It originally became popular due to a large number of people and has since been "reborn" by a new group of individuals.
To accurately create a history/biography, you will have to talk to many first hand sources, not relying solely on what is documented on the forums or what a single individual says.
Some topics that I would discuss are:
- The Nerf Listserv
- Nerf Online
- NerfCenter
- NerfHQ
- NerfHaven
- The LaMarios
- Other websites that I'm not mentioning
- The Four Horsemen, LCM, LGLF, countless other clans
- The development of Nerfing locations (SoCal, NJ, Alabama, DC, Ohio, many other locations)
- The development of nerf modding
Some resources you will find valuable will be the nerf wiki, which was originally hosted at NerfHQ and is still available here. It was then moved to ProjectNerf, available here. Additionally, TheGrinch's old website NerfWorld contains one of the best directories of older nerf websites. In my opinion, the most important ones that many people were not around for are The LaMario's, Yakman's site, Webbzter's site. There are also many clan sites linked as well as many of the older nerfer's websites. NerfWorld also has links to several Wayback Machine editions of websites that are no longer available, as well as some of the original Nerfaholics comics.
If you did take up this project, I would urge you to get perspective from many of the nerfers who have been around a while in order to break things up into "eras" and see what they consider significant. They also may have contact with other, now absent, nerfers.
Good luck and I look forward to seeing what route you take.

True, and true.We all have large dicks. And no girlfriends. Worth mentioning in such a work of literary genius.
I'd focus mainly on homemade advances in the past few years, and the evolution of darts over the years. Clips (Hoppers, RSCBs, Inlines, n-strike clips, etc.) should have a chapter/section due to the fact that they completely changed nerfing in the workshop, and on the field.

Homemades will have a seperate section in the bio, don't worry, they are a very important part in the NIC, I know that for sure
Glad to know I have someone to consult in the process VACC.Every couple years someone tries to do something along these lines and makes the mistake of writing about things which no one they've spoken to actually experienced. This community has about the shortest memory span of anything I've ever encountered, and it's never really been to its detriment. If you'd ike to alter that, more power to ya'. As a well documented ass, and the only person who has been active for the entirety of the NIC's existance, I'll be more than happy to criticize the end results.

Other items that should be investigated: Mag7, Four horsemen, Sex Dwarves, Canadians, Rainbow Clan, Captain Slug, Stefan (or whatever the username of the guy who invented the stefan), Rise/fall/and more recent resurgence of NJ wars, the SNAP, Rainbow catch, +bow, and Bow powered blasters.
