I do think that C banning those bastards was appropriate, but banning stupidity outright is rather short-sighted. Eventually, any site persuing that policy would eliminate its own population, and rather quickly, considering the accusation is often based largely on opinion, which we all know is always 2-sided. Idiocy (sp?), on the other hand, might be applicable. Last time I looked it up, "idiot" read something like, 'Anyone with a mental age equal to or less than three." That would be appropriate, heh.

You all do realize that the last three were pretty much a joke, seeing as how there's no way to employ them.

Yay! At least one person here gets my jokes - though that doesn't imply that he found them funny I suppose.

Anyhow, 'Ban Stupidity' and '.:Blue Ice:.' are jokes. Disallow new accounts is entirely possible, though probably not a good idea for the future of the community.

The poll options were not written in the most serious tone, though I really did want to hear some feedback.

By "Ban Stupidity" I thought you meant to just ban someone the very second they acted like a jackass. Which most people do when they join NH.

Personally, I think that the code of conduct is uber sexy, and if you take it out, I will hide in a corner and cry.

Though I wouldn't mind just "random" banning of every single moron on this site.

To the people that thought the code was strict: he could always make it stricter then "just don't act like a dick, and type proparly." Oh yes, that is so strict and horrible...

Why would you vote to dissallow new acounts? It would kind of defeat the purpose of a forum wouldnt it?

I think anyone who types AIM style for an extended period of time should be banned or deleted.

I'm still laughing about my first 50-odd posts or so, MWAHHAHAHA, if it wasnt for Rawray saying i was coming accross as an asshole i dont know what i would have done...

No pointless flames

CX, i admire you, but i severely doubt you would have any forum members left under that rule

I looked at a few of my first posts the other day and I was just flat out embaressed. I think one of the LCM members(I think Langley) calling me a fucktard (Spectre to) helped a bit. Oh yes and Talio was helpfull. Oh Talio...

How about we ban a random member every Monday. Eventually by the laws of chance, people we don't like will get banned although at the price of a few innocent members. Plus, its a good way to relieve yourselves of the Monday shits. Imagine the hysteria when the random member banner accidentally bans cxwq... whoops, did I say that out loud? :P

No shit, that would redefine "Revolt of the Masses" (only difference is, the mob would eliminate itself a lot faster). Read that book, its awesome.

I don't have any problems with the current code of conduct, however I have seen many users abusing it way too much in the past. If only people could put more thought into their posts, instead of having the amazing posts we have all come to know and hate. As I type this, the famous postings of ninjayoshi ("Who's funnier? Mr. Bean or William Hung") and several other idiots come to mind. By the way, could someone please explain the story about .:BlueIce:.? Many of us seem confused.

I'll let you read into the details (you can check the "members", and past posts)...but....

.:Blue Ice:. and Buckbogey were the same user...and both users generally posted a lot of BS about primarily homemades.

Cx called his bluff, and .:Blue Ice:. vehemently denied his double life for awhile...then admitted it. Thus his own custom title ("Liar"), among other such ribbing.

He's gone now, or so we think (unless he's re-registered under another username).

Classic forum noob-ness.

There are two votes for .:Blue Ice:.

Does that mean those people voted for the ability to post as he did? Or the regulation against such people?

For some reason, I thought the poll choices got progressively stricter. But now that I think of it, it seems that voting ".:Blue Ice:." means advocating his actions.

Voting Blue Ice means you don't give a shit pretty much. 100% Newb, Langley is not in the LCM. He is in the LGLF, a rival clan.

Yeah, Vintage, I don't think there's really anything philosophical about the .:Blue Ice:. voting option.

This thread brings back irony of a member at NerfHQ named "Grammar Man." When he first came onto the NHQ boards, he was registered as "Grammer Man." His signature read something along the lines of, "Hey, my dad's an English teacher!"

Allright asshat, what's it going to take to delete you? Do you really want me to ban all San Francisco PacBell DSL customers? Or should I email PacBell and tell them that you are in violation of their terms of service for circumventing my forum security? I'll bet mommy will love it when you get her DSL turned off.

Do remember that you asked me to ban you, dipshit.

The code of conduct freaking sucks. ahahah kick me off the board it'd be great fun.

The current rules are very fair and should not be tampered with. CX you did a good job on writing them. But, I want to know are you going to be very strict about the rules, or are you going lets some spelling and grammar errors slip by? Also, is every waring going to be tied with the punishmen of temporarry suspention? If so is there a specific of time for your first, second, or third supention, or is the amount of time just how you see fit?

If you don't know my former typing style it was very errorous and full of spelling errors (do to the lack of the current rules). I am willing to monitor my posts more closely out of respect for nerfers and this site (witch everyone should do as a member of the forums).
