So Hasbro recycles another blaster. If BBB for Avengers wasnt bad, get ready for an Arashikage Clan Furefire.

It's not that bad. So long as the price isn't shit, then it's okay. Yes, it's an inverse plunger, but you only have to buy one, you're not forced to shell out $50 for two identical blasters. I think it looks okay. I'd even buy the nunckuks to go with it.

Repetitive shit* blasters. I'm sure no one would mind them re-releasing a longshot or crossbow.

Yeah! Stop releasing old blasters, and start remaking older blasters!

Out of curiosity, when you say you want anything vintage, how do you feel about vintage marital aids? I judge from your interests that that sort of thing is more your speed.

I'll sell you a vintage condom, slightly used.

Nerf re-shells and repaints because it brings them increased revenue without having to pay engineers to design a new product, and make more molds. Hasbro/nerf is a huge business, if it can sell, keep milking it until the lack of demand brings down the price to the point where no profit is made. I doubt the crossbows mold still exists, and I'm sure there's a reason why they don't make the longshot anymore despite the demand for said product, my guess is that the mold got worn down, but I'm probably wrong.

I believe, it was thought of as bad for some reason upon release, While the Recon did amazingly, but despite the 500 requests they get on the official Facebook wall daily, they say nothing about redistrubting it. Or they're not making as much profit per LS sold because of the direct plunger set up, so they forced other things to be purchased.

I think the problem is the retailers. Lets be honest here. The marketing and sales model for Hasbro is the same for Transformer toys, one of the biggest selling items in the toy industry. Hasbro does the same thing with retailers, they recolor exclusives.

Hasbro does not care about the measly 500 requests because that is such low numbers. Just think about the numbers of product each store orders. one store can go thru 500 in a short time. Hasbro deals with the big three. Walmart, Target and Toys R Us. those companies are purchasing by the thousands.

Walmart is probably the biggest out of the big three. They surprised us with a wide range of colored variants. Red and white out series. TRU got Sonic Green and Target got Clear. Part of the Longshot dilemma may be that the mold has deteriorated. They dont last that long maybe 50k-100k units before the mold gets burnt out. Also you need to think about price point. It might be just me but I see sonic vulcans and longstrikes warming the shelves. $20 blasters go off the shelves much faster.

However with regards to the Gi Joe Ninja Furyfire, I dont see this being very popular. Just like the crappy Ironman nerf blasters. Those models are just not "fun" compared to others.

I think the Barricade would have been a better option than the furyfire. I know Hasbro wants to avoid realistic looking guns but an army green or tan Recon with key orange parts could get kids more excited.
