I'll see my fellow Nerfers on the battlefield tomorrow.
Just finished a reflex! Hopefully that will be my side arm (not pistol).

For our regularly scheduled dose of mad-scientist-testing:
4 x collapsible mobstacles (Dayko, can I 'donate' these to our 'clan' and ask you to hold them?)
4 x CPVC-elbow-and-PVC-tee DMK wyeless hoppers. I'd love for people who use hoppers to give these a try and tell me how they work compared to regular wyes. Be warned these end in CPVC couplers, so your standard PVC barrels won't work.
No new darts or blasters, sorry.
===
Here's what I have for sale:
$5 - Hoppers (18" PVC magazine, 15+" CPVC-in-PVC barrel (length varies), and wye)
$3 - barebone wyes.
===
Here's what I have for loans, if I'm not using them:
3 x 4Bs
- One skeletonized with a sprung pump and padded handle, ending with a 1/2" PVC coupler
- One skeletonized with some added hardware for some unique attachments: a 48-shot turreted chopper, and a breeched double-barrel rig.
- One SVT4B with chopper
2 x Atomic Splats, with dual-wield rigs. One has a 5-6 shot (depends on dart length) RSCB, the other has 5-6 shot hopper.
===
I'll be bringing some tools and materials, too:
- hammer
- channel-lock adjustable pliers
- razor
- pipe-cutters, both rotary and ratcheting
- duct tape, grey and orange
- electrical tape
- orange flagging tape
- Sharpies

Pros:
- Mobstacles were 100% win.
- Blocking shots as a zombie. Including 4 in a row from a Quick-16 at 10' by grabbing a N-Force Warlock Axe by the blade and using them as shields.
- Staying the whole war, including the setting up and the final clean-up.
- Mr. Wedding Dude from the wedding party also at the park taking part in the fun.
- GreenSpike's GhetTurreted UMB.
- Doh, forgot his name, but the guy with the Nerf Thunder Storm water gun built into his stock.
- Having water to grab on a record-breaking temperature day.
- Meeting WickBuddy and congratulating him on his win.
- Oh, did I mention mobstacles?
===
Cons:
- My DMKs not working worth a damn.
- My skeletonized LAHB giving up the ghost.
- A wasp's nest right fricking over our setup spot.
===
Dayko - I'm looking forward with great anticipation to next year!

Pros:
Meeting Taerkitty at least. After having the stare down in TDMZ I see a friendly rivalry sparking.
Getting a big blast and getting to PIMP!! Also getting to eat shit dayko the other pimp. Dayko is still pimpalocious.
MOBSTACLES!!!! are amazing and great for hiding and picking other nerfers off one by one.
Having a huge attendance to play with that was awesome.
Meeting green spike as well.
Trading a shit ton!
And having a great day.
Cons:
My friend bailed. 2 members of my collab channel didn't show. (Mike, and someone who moved from Utah!)
The wasps nest scared the shit out of me! I'm going to kill nisaburo for shooting that thing
For those that saw my furyfires handle just fell off! no joke those that saw will tell you. (although I did the stupidest shit to that thing)
Thats about it. Also Dayko who took home the t-shirt? just wondering. I guess the next one is on me. http://nerfhaven.com...showtopic=21452 don't have to many yet but after meeting so many of you i hope you can make it. Date is november 13th. So I'm excited for next year, for those that are wondering I'll probably host 1 more this winter. But anyway thanks for the great war, I'm out!

"GET HIM! I'M CAMPING THE TREE!!" Then a swarm of darts comes!Oh, and I loved playing Witch Doctor and calling out to my (current) team: "I'm camping their base! GET HIM!"
(Needless to say, I was quickly 're-allocated' to the other team. )

Can I haz pix, plz? Kthxbai!

Seriously, I may be selling mobstacles for $25 + S&H each. Note the 'may'. This isn't going to be a trading thread - I'm hoping those who attended can give me feedback on if it's worth that much for them. My cost in parts is about $14 each - $2.50 for the pipes, $0.50 for the rope, $0.50 for the zip ties, $2 for the grommets, $3 for the tarp sides, $2.50 for the duct tape and $3 for the stakes. The frames are dead simple, but the sides are very labour-intensive, hence my asking for a sanity-check for the price.
Again, this is not a trading thread. I'm not taking orders, nor do I have any in stock. I'm asking, "If I was offering, would you buy them, and how many?" Your answers don't commit you to anything - I'm just trying to gauge the market's opportunity for the product at the proposed price.
===
Edit:
1. Zorn's Lemma just pointed out that you can buy inflatable paintball bunkers for $20.
2. For shipping purposes, these will need a box roughly 3' x 1' x 1', and weigh 4.5 lbs.

Highlight
Getting to Nerf with my peeps again
Taers and Darth's mobstackles are fucking amazing. Seriously these changed the way we played the entire day. Mad props to you guy's.
The weather staying good all day
Taers camping in my base during Witch Doctor was awesome
Having some people come over from the wedding that was next to us was awesome
Wedding guy was amazing
Playing game types that kept all players in the game was very effective at keeping the playing field even. I.E. Team Death Match Zombie's, Witch Doctor
Having each match time to a 15 minute limit kept the rounds move pretty smoothly for the most part
Low lights
Having my +bow's priming bar break during the first round and not having a suitable backup
The bee's nest was the biggest one I have ever seen. This thing was huge. It was cool to look at but the bee's were cranky and kept trying to get everyone
Overall it was a great way to end the summer.
I want to thank TaerKitty and Darth Freyr for helping me moderate the war's this year. Thanks guy's, I appreciate it.
I also want to thank everyone who came to the wars this year. I had a great time Nerfing with everyone this year and I am looking forward to next years festivity's.
Wick: I forget the guy's name but he was the one who carried the backpack around with him. He got the shirt.
I will be sorting the pics and posting them up hopefully soon.
Again I had a great time with you guy's. This year I think was our best year yet. We developed new game types that keep everyone in the game ( TDMZ was Taer's game ). We implemented new rules that keep everything going smoothly.
I'm looking forward to Nerfing with you guy's again. Until then, dream up some new creations.

I forgot his name, but I called him Mad Dog Rusher because he was so aggro with his AT.

Even though the next war isn't until next year, let's start talking dates - is March too early, or do you think it'll be dry by then?
Two ideas for war rounds:
- from what I heard, TEPAWers loved Territories.
- NoM's war has a round suggested by EcoDragon called 'The Awfuls' - basically, it's a 15' MAX cap, no barrel taps.
Thoughts?
