Ok, since there hasn't been much interest in melee, screw it. We're not having melee rounds...I would've prolly been too lazy to make swords this time, anyway.
Maybe we can do melee in future DCNfs.

Can anyone else make the 23rd? I'm gonna hold off on editing the OP until we get more people confirmed. (the 23rd will still happen though).

Who else can make it to the 23rd? We need everyone to confirm their status! I've updates the OP to reflect the happening of 2 wars.
I'll start updating you guys on weather for the 23rd starting next week. Looks like this is gonna be a really noice/fun war!

Ok, cool. I only used caps lock 'cause I wanted to make sure that everyone saw it, since it seems that some may be overlooking what I say in my post. Also, I wanted to make sure that the "status confirming" part of my post was the main highlight, within the other things I said. I've edited it to not be all caps; sorry if it bothered anyone...

Would you guys be interested in having a "stock" round, where only stock blasters are used? I think that it may be fun/a good refresher from using uber-highpowered blasters...

6 days left, guys! Hope you guys are finishing up/working on making darts and prepping blasters!

Weather for the 16th is looking a bit iffy- 30 percent chance of rain as of now. What do you guys think? I don't wanna make those of you woh live relatively far away drive all the way to a rainy war....
We could, however, always change it to Sunday the 17th, which, weather-wise, is lookin' better than the 16th.
Thoughts?

It only rains if it is 50% or higher (from my experience). I don't think Sunday would work that great because people have work/camps on the next day and some people have to go to church, Sunday school, and other places in the morning. We can always switch to the 23rd .

Be aware that weather forecasts can be wrong... as Phree said, keep an eye on how things develop.

I'm still a maybe for both dates. Due to other obligations, I'm leaning towards doubtful, but we'll see what happens.

I'm a semi new nerfer, and don't have a modded primary yet :/ Also can't make then cause I'm not nearby(if there's ever a near bowie one I MAY on a weekend with my mom), but on weekends with my dad(every other one) I can usually make if it's semi close to Burtonsville.

If any of you were at Dart of War IV you probably saw me. I'm the dude with the long red hair, snow camo recon, black fedora with american flag band.

Hope to attend a close war soon.

3 more days, guys! Hope y'all are wrapping up your dartsmithing/blaster maintenance! Weather for the 16th has taken a turn for the better- chance of rain has gone from 30 to 20, and temperature's looking perfect: not too hot, rain/"isolated t-storms", which were previously in the forecast, are no longer in the forecast!I'll keep updating you guys on weather, but as of now, the war is definetely happening.


I know it's only Wednesday, but I figure the earlier this stuff is said, the better...

As of now, the schedule of the day is as follows:

10:00AM: DCNF#1 Oficially begins

10:00AM-10:15AM: Trading time, to carry out previously discussed deals, and potentially make new ones

10:15AM-Whenever: We will be starting the day with either a Blob or Meatgrinder round, to warm everybody up a bit.

Whenever-12:30PM: We will play other rounds, such as CTF, TDM, DTC, FFADM, etc. There may also be trading time in between rounds.

12:30PM-1:00PM: We will take a shot break and eat lunch. During this time, you can also trade or look for darts.

After lunch: After lunch, we will have the main trading time, so that we're not running around right after we eat.

Whenever trading ends-whenever we feel like ending the war: We will play other various rounds/game types.


As you can see, the schedule is quite flexible, so if you have any objections or suggestions, please feel free to speak up. Also, are you guys all ok with eating lunch @ 12:30? Do you want it earlier? Is 30 mins for lunch ok? Speak now or hold your peace untill we recap the war....


**Reminders for Saturday**
-DON'T FORGET WATER! LOTS OF IT!
-Don't forget your blasters, darts, trade items, etc. Derp.
-Bring a stock blaster or two, and some stock darts! We will have some stock rounds.
-If you wanna show off to us about whether or not your blaster "SHOOTS THROUGH CARDBOARD LIKE A BOSS," bring your own cardboard/box. I will bring one, and one only.
-Bring a lunch...we will only have 30 mins. for lunch, and that is probably not enough time for you to go out a buy a lunch...
-Please try to arrive (unless you're Landstricker) at about 9:45 AM, as we will be jumping right in to trading/rounds at 10:00 SHARP.
-I'll be there at around 9:30, being the uber-awesome host that I am (). When you get there, just go towards the portables/field. You should see me around there, if I'm not waiting in the parking lot for people.
-You are responsible for the actions/words/being of your guest. Behave yourself AND your guest(s).
-Get a good night's sleep the night before, and eat a good breakfast of bacon, and you'll be ballin' for Saturday.

Whoo! Two more days guys! Hope you all are as pumped as I am! We have 11 confirmed!

Weather, to my Effeminate surprise when I checked this morning, is looking absolutely amazing! ZERO percent chance of rain, and a high of 86 degrees and a low of 67! Sweet!

Also, sharvil and I have decided to cancel the aftermath war, since there isn't enough attendance confirmed.

Ok guys, one last update from yours truly.
Chance of Precip. for the 16th has gone up to 10%, but screw that; it's not gonna rain. Temp. is looking quite nice; not too hot! High 86, low 67.

ARE YOU GUYS PUMPED?! I hope you guys are all getting ready to pack yo' stuff! Since I didn't have to make too many darts this time around (lots left over from last war), I finished packing yesterday:

Anyways, see you guys tomorrow! Remember to get there a little before 10am if possible. Also, please keep in mind that all darts are subject to autopsy at the knife of either Phree or I, to ensure safety. Also, all blasters are subject to range test if anyone thinks it looks unsafe, or if I'm just in a bad mood(), to ensure overall safety during rounds. I will be bringing a measuring tape, but it's not 100ft long. Does anyone have a 100ft. tape measure they could bring? If not, it's fine.

I will be taking some third person footage withna camera, but if anyone has a gun cam, please bring it so we can get some first person footage. Also, does anyone wanna volunteer to be a cameraman alongside myself?You can either bring your own camera or use mine, and we can switch off sitting rounds out to film.

I cannot wait (although I have yet to pack, and yet to make the majority of my darts, and I have to leave here at about 7 to get there with sufficient time XD).
