Hello!
For Humans vs Zombies at my college, my friends and I decided it would be practical to have a melee weapon as well as a gun. So we went to the local toy store. My friends both picked up the broad sword (Marauder) and were satisfied. I felt the need to be different, and saw the warlock. Immediately i purchased it. I have a problem though. I want to be able to keep this thing at my side or on my back, attached to something. However, I cannot seem to find any sheaths or holsters for the Warlock Axe. Has anyone seen any? If not I will take suggestions on constructing something and I would post up pictures of the set up.

Nerf does not make holsters for weapons as far as I know. I do believe the tactical vest can hold one or two smaller blasters.
I believe you should be able to make one without too much trouble. (I know, not the answer you were looking for.)

I guess I need to go to a store. I wanna make something but would rather not buy the vest since it is expensive and I would enjoy building something too. My friends both built sheaths for their broadswords so I feel left out. The problem I run into is that I do not think building a sheath for the axe head would work well. It looks like it would be better to make something, possibly involving velcro loops, that would hold the axe shaft. Then, with a quick pull, it would release it.

Building a custom holster would be the best option.
I don't even think the tactical vest can hold a warlock axe. I meant it can hold a small blaster. I'm sorry if that was unclear.

Adapt as necessary. The axe can just go in handle first.

I can tell you you can run at full speed aaaaaaaall day and you will not lose your weapon with this.

Also, the tac vest has a sword sheath on the back.

Really? No one told him to use Velcro pads? They are self adhering, and you attach one half to the axe, one half to your ammo pouch.

I say Duct Tape a clip to it, like the one on the Ammo Bags. Then you could put it through a belt loop or whatever.

I too have had this problem, it is really simple to solve. I used a flashlight clip, but PVC would work. Get some sort of bandoleer (the nerf ones come with the bonus of holding clips, useful in HvZ). Hook an end on a belt loop, bring it around your shoulder, and then on to another, or even the same, belt loop. Cut a 1'' peace of 1'' or 3/4'' PVC (Eyeball it). Cut about 1/3 of the pipe, into a "C" shape. Loop the "C" through one of the straps on your back. Putting the axe in the clamp is kind of difficult, but taking it off quickly shouldn't be hard. If you need further explanation, let me know and I will make a crappy MS Paint image for you.

The Nerf Tactical Vest has a sword sheath that can be used to hold the Warlock Axe handle first. It makes drawing it in a pinch a little awkward, but it can be done. Also, painters (or carpenters I don't recall which) jeans have a little loop of fabric on the left leg used to hold a tool or brush and they can be used to hold the Warlock (I've held the mace there before, so it's big enough). If that fails there's always the tried and true method of sticking it down your shirt.

You could do something like this:

Make a behind the back strap with a bag attached to it.
Above that bag put a small strip of velcro.
Put the warlock in the bag and attach a piece of velcro to it so it will stick when the warlock is all the way in the bag.

I'd just get a hammer holster fom a hardware store. Easy in, easy out, and attaches on a belt. That or get a sword frog.

Hmmm....so many ideas now. This semester at college is almost over, and after I finish modding my longshot I think I might attempt to make a sheath. I will document the whole thing and start it on a new thread when I do! I am liking the sword frog idea

What I did was make a homemade bandolier using a luggage strap from a thrift store. Get some velcro and attach it on the strap. Works with a homemade sword about the length of the Warlock.

What BallisticJoe suggests would probably work better, basically using the PVC to clamp it to the bandolier. Use multiple thin rings for easier attachment, and put a thin piece of plastic/wood on the other side. Then use wood screws and attach those two sides together.

Carpenter jeans, though profoundly unfashionable, work great for this sort of thing.
