ok i was just wondering because i have a ultimate missle blast that gets 180 feet and about 150 chest level

Why the hell would you ever need to shoot that far?

I'll have to see it in action myself. Bring it on the war date, and bring something else (like a 3B or something).

I can't put anything down definitely until I secure a location (and then a date).

I don't know about anybody else, but I don't want to get hit from about 50 ft. away from a gun that shoots 180 feet. And Dizzy, love it.

Reading your posts will probably give me cancer.

Don't treat me as your authority, I'm no mod. And I have realized I sort of backseat modded there. But clicking the shift button isn't too hard.

This exchange is pretty funny.

Anyway, I live in the area as well and I'm interested. This would be my first real Nerf war; I've previously only played in a small house with 5 friends, so I have a few questions.

1) How do you go about retrieving your darts afterwards?
2) Where can I read up on the standard rules one might expect (points, being hit, safety, etc.)

1. We usually have "dart sweeps" after every round. There's a place where you can collect any darts retrieved afterwards.

2. There should be some articles on the section below this one ("articles" or something like that, I'm too lazy to look.)

The most important and most common rule is 3-15.

You have 3 "lives" and each time you get hit on your body or blaster, you count to 15 while moving away from the front lines. If you finish counting and you are still really close with the opposing team, close enough for you to shoot them or them shoot you, then you must find another place to come back into play.

Once all the players have been defeated on one team the game is over.

*Edit* Oh wow, this is my 1000th post... I guess I'm that good of a spammer. :D

So it looks like the Art/Soc building at University of Maryland is out of the question.

http://www.umdnerf.c...p?p=13217#13217

Anyway, we still have Wheaton Park. I'd be able to host an outdoors war there similar to M3 last year. It's a big-ass park with a big-ass playground. If we get there early enough we might be able to do a couple rounds on the playground before all of the picnickers show up.

As for a date, the 12th and the 19th of March work for me. Any preference for a date?

If I can go at all, either date should work.

Can't do the 19th, but the 12th is open, barring a miracle in indoor track.

Wheaton, MD.

Google "Wheaton Park Maryland" for more info. The Montgomery County Park Service has a site with lots of pictures and stuff.
