I was thinking about the NIC, and I realized that what we are is a group of people who, as a hobby, collect, modify, and test projectile weapons.
Think about it. Modders in the NIC:
- Understand a great deal about ballistics
- Have an instinctive urge to tear their guns down to their component parts and improve them
- Are able to analyze existing designs, reverse-engineer them, and build on them
- Create new weapons from scratch, McGyver style
- Work with an array of common household tools to create something impressive with their own hands
Makes me wonder...Does the military know we exist?
