Even though it's less people, I'll still try to bring nametags. "Hey, you with the RF20, no the other guy!" may work for team rounds, but it's easier to reference by name.

Let's hold off on the mod contest this outing, what say?

I'll be bringing my own darts this time. Thanks for giving me a chance to use yours. (Speaking of which, I ended up with an RF20 full of picked up darts, so I'll be bringing some back.)

Just checking in as a maybe. I think I may have swindled a coworker into letting me use her car.

As far as a mod contest goes, I would recommend having the voting after the match, and only including blasters that made it the day. Because a lot of mods seems cool at first, but break pretty quickly. The one worry I have is that this may get confused with performance: We don't want a blaster to win just because it was frequently on the winning team, vice versa, etc.

After the match, or after the war? The problem with after the war is that people 'trickle off' over time - the heat, fatigue, or need to shower for the evening's activity.

I was suggesting lunchtime so we could get a few rounds in, but most of the people are still there, and there's a chance to 'kick the tires' and fondle the blasters.

However, the (very valid) issue with breaking or "things didn't go as planned" only counts in the 'war practicality' and 'contribution to NIC' categories. A kicking PJ may be otherwise stock,.

It looks like Effeminate IV will be missing many of the usual suspects. We can still have the mod contest if people are up for it. If it's a success, we can hold it for Effeminate V, too. I'd like to suggest that the entries have to be something that was done between the last entry into an Effeminate war mod contest and the current one, however.

Great point, however. Fully agree that those two categories need some 'field testing' to qualify.

I think starting the contest at Effeminate 5 will be the best decision, since most people won't be able to make it to this one. I'm down with voting during the lunch round, sounds good.

Seriously, is it possible to have a group photo this time? I know we took one for III, but it may have been by a non-NHer, hence it not being posted. Any chance we can get photos of the usual suspects and any cool mods that showed up?

No one will be upset at you for necro'ing your own war thread with pics, man. I'd love to see 'em! (Or, failing that, upload them to your photo-server site of choice and PM me the link.)

As for getting ready, yeah. Now that I have confidence in my stefans, I'm making them by the 100's. I plan to dump ammo like mad for the next war. Too bad that won't be until Effeminate V.

I'm ready, I have a new gun dubbed "The Surgeon" which is going to amputate everyone, and I finally did my Raider the right way, so if all else fails then I have something to fall back on.

Prepare to be foamified.

EDIT: The person whose car I was supposed to borrow is unresponsive. Needless to say, I will hotwire her car if I have to, but I may be a little late.

Sorry for the late highlights.

Great war, guy's. I had a lot of fun. we had about 8 people through out the whole day.


Highlights:

Getting to meet everyone again

Nerfing

playing some cool new game types. I think Dodge Ball and Escort were my favorite game types

Doing an awesome jump and tumble into Tantum as we were playing testiculum( Correct spelling?) and both of us
falling to the ground.

Playing melee round and having a special rule: Limb Damage. It was pretty fun. One of the rounds I lost my right leg and right arm and I was hobbling away from my bro and Tantum. It was it futile. They got me almost right away.



Lowlights

Can't really think of anything, except I kept falling a lot more this war then in the previous ones
