I'm pointing it out because it is one of many threads on "Nitefinder Modding for Noobs". The search is very powerful, as is the Mod Directory. Please learn to use them, else the members will char broil you, and the admins will send you on unwanted vacations.
Lest this be thought of as a BSMod post, I do have one more suggestion for rebarrelling: 1/2" K&S brass is supposedly 'too tight' for most purposes, but if you're shooting stock darts (and up-power the plunger somehow), it works fairly well. The advantage there is that it can be simply jammed down the barrel with a few loops of electrical tape at the muzzle end to keep it centered.
If you're going for stefans (homemade darts), then 1/2" is way too narrow.

If you are shooting stock darts, I would recommend that you insert a small 1/2 to 1 inch (doesn't need to be exactly precise) segment of 17/32'' brass tubing into the stock barrel. It acts like a tightening ring, as it allows for more pressure to build up behind the dart. You can find brass tubing at your local ACE hardware store.
I don't know about that. My Local ace does not have brass. I went out of town (Kirksville, Missouri) to get mine. Then again I was on vacation. But GHOST_BRAVO If I were you I would start out with CPVC. It is very simple to start out with. also While at ace get an Ace 49 spring. And mighty putty. you will need it if you use an ace 49.

Rebarrelling <sp?> a NiteFinder will increase the ranges, if you are using stefans... I personally shoot 1 1/2" CaptainSlug darts (1 1/2" Ace foam with #8 washers and self-adhesive felt tips) and have found the suggestion from mekhu to be invaluable: all my nf's (I have a bunch- I just love them) use 4" PETG or 4" Sch 80 PVC speed-loaders with 17/32" brass rings a 1/2" long as tightening rings. When modified (main spring and catch spring
replacement, extended draw) they all get confirmed head-shots @ 50' to 60' (meaning max range is 60' to 75' +). Btw, all my NF's use couplers, so you can replace barrels simply by plugging a new one in (I use 3" of 17/32" brass for stock darts and taggers). Check out what's in the mod directory for NF's before doing anything: here.
Also, you mentioned your local Ace does not have brass tubing, mine doesn't either: but Tower Hobbies and McMaster Carr sure do online. Check them out. (And there's a real good chance your local hobby store will too).
