I wonder if it's E coli related--it's been known to contribute to infectious gastric pneumatosis... If it's non-infectious GP, though, it's one of those "who knows?" scenarios (though most are a result of the air they pump in while "scoping" the stomach or intestinal tract).

Lol, I liek, almost died too, and didn't post about it, and this seems like the appropriate time to tell everyone that I almost died and compare it to what you're going through. Toss in a bit of reflective humility as well. Oh, I'm also a doctor and and now tell you the causes of your disease and the studies done that it showed up in, even though those real doctors of yours couldn't tell you. Also, I like to ramble stupidly about a spin off about a joke you made that was initially funny, but now I'm just riding it because I have no sense of humor myself. You know, just so you know. What I really want though, is one of those Doctor Who sonic screwdriver pens that you "blokes" have over there. The ones that light up and make the sonic noise and can be used as a pen? Thanks again for the well wishes. Once I am back to feeling like my old self again I can start lurking on the forums and making appropriate t-shirts to commemorate this event. Damn, man, that's really terrible, while not as painful (at all), I just recently had a bout with Bells Palsy. These random rare diseases are, frankly, fucking annoying as hell-- you know.. not delightful at all!
