The general idea of BAFF is to get a Bay Area (San Franscisco to San Jose) Nerf war once a month. Generally, it will be on the second Saturday of every month. If you have anything to say other than that you are attending, please send it out on the email list instead of posting here.

Time:11 a.m. is when the first round will start, try to get to the field by 10:45 . We meet at the picnic table area.

Alright, so the general plan is to get something going once a month for everyone that attended FMNO 2 and all other bay area nerfers. This will turn into a war thread once a location is chosen, but there were many ideas about this at the war, so post them and we can all choose the best location.

General directions:(Thanks Aquinas)
This is assuming that you are coming from I-880:

1. Exit 23 for Alvarado Niles Road
2. EASTBOUND on Alvarado Niles Road (I-880 NORTHBOUND = RIGHT turn, I-880 SOUTHBOUND = LEFT turn; hope it make sense)
3. RIGHT turn onto Hop Ranch Road
4. Hop Ranch Road curves left and turns into Marsh Hawk Road; parking for the park will be all along the right side of Marsh Hawk.

Since when did you get a plusbow? Nice. Try a Spiderman gun like Slug. Or spend money and get some 2k brackets from Mcnumbers.

It's been a while since we've seen Ben, and he can't make it on the 13th. Will anyone object that we bump this back a week, to the 20th, just for this month? He's asked a few times about this on the message board. I think we should respond to it.

I'll edit this post with my definite response in the future. But put me down as Definite for now or just don't put me down at all. Errm I think if we could get a general consensus of when people have their spring breaks it would help with turn out. I wouldn't care if the date changes cause i don't have anything planned yet and i do plan to make time for me to go if I do have stuff.

I think we should have a game with a high ROF blaster and low to mid ranges. So that means no AT3k, doomsayer or anything with those kind of ranges. Also put me down as a yes with +4 or maybe more if i can get another get one of my friends to drive.

We get those kinds of matches in by playing zombie or some people choose so in CTF.

I personally find the most fun out of pistol rounds. I know not everybody likes it, but the default lower ranges mean that people have to rely a lot more on movement and teamwork. Also, since you don't have 12-inch barrels pointing at you, people tend to take more risks. All those elements keep the game more fluid, and fun, at least in my opinion.

I'm really thinking of leaving my Nat Geo Gun at home from now on to walk the walk, so to speak. I'm not advocating a blaster-ban or anything of that sort - I do hope that we can each come to a sensible solution as to what would be best for us as individuals and us as a group. As long as there has been modification, there has been talk of "too much range" and "getting back into the spirit of foam-flinging." I think we can find a good middle ground and a blend of game-types that satisfies our primary-wielding urges but also get some lower-range, high ROF rounds in, like Ben was talking about. I had been thinking the exact same thing. HVZ and pistols-only CTF certainly fits the bill. We can think of others.

Looking forward to seeing you again Ben. You always bring a party. That RSCB-ed 4B that Charles was using was a beast.

I definitely agree with Aquinas, pistol rounds make it more fun because you have to move around and such. While using primaries you sit there and shoot at each other. We should try to use more medium ranged guns than to use ones that shoot over 100'. Hopefully i will be able to bring a flag too.

I like pistol rounds too, but a wide variety is necessary in my opinion. Aquinas, do you need a primary since you aren't bring your Nat Geo gun?

Melee weapons would be really fun. I have a few nerf swords laying around, and melee is pretty awesome.

HOTH I think melee wepons is great, but throw in some single shot pistols, then you got yourselves some pirates. Or maybe we can do CTF pirates at the playgrond area.
