I was recently changing the toilet paper and i noticed how the thing you slide the roll on has a spring. I thought, "Why don't I buy like ten of these cheap plastic things at Home Depot and add them into Nitefinders and other pistols?" So yes I had a shitty epiphany. (Haha, bad pun)

Well, the springs in those toilet paper rods don't seem like the strongest things out there. You can try it, but I would suspect that it would provide minimal, if any, improvement. By the way, idea threads aren't taken too kindly around here. People prefer if you just get out and do it instead of asking for inspiration or for others to validate your plan.

I have wondered that too and they do seem like decent springs.

Although just finding the correct replacement spring (most hardware stores have a spring section of some sort) would be easiest and cheapest, this thread did give me an awesome idea of something completely unrelated.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I've thought about that. But those could be expensive.
