Id like to see a head count of the people who are definitely going to go, as this will factor into my attendance.
Guns are prepped, darts are made, car is go. Now I just need to get myself into shape and prepare for the 20 degree weather.
I'm still looking for a large amount of 1/4" sling shot ammo, if anyone has some, I will bring cash.
If anyone has a supply of 1/2" PETG that is slightly tighter than OMC's then I will buy.
I'm also looking for brass.

In addition to what I said yesterday about bringing lots of blasters/materials to sell/trade, I think we should all stay where the parking lot is for the first 30 minutes of the war (until 10:30) so that we can make deals. Let me know if this is not a good idea, as this will be my first war.

Skitzo, I have tons of slingshot ammo. I'll weigh you out a bag.

Guys, it might be a good idea to set up a "BFNY Sales/Want to Buy Thread" to list what you have for sale, then link in this thread. That way, we can work out deals without having to cut into our game time.

We'll probably do deals afterwards. Im not sure how many people have wares, we'll play it by ear depending.

But then, the people that are being dropped off won't be able to trade because we won't be able to lug all of our trading supplies to the battle ground. I remember people saying it is a very long walk.

Also, sorry that I am cluttering the war thread.

Keep in mind that it is a war...this war in particular draws people who come to fight. Selling is generally sporadic, casual, and specific. People come knowing what they want to get.

The NIC uses blasters as name tags. Even if you don't recognize DX or I, you'll probably recognize his Maximizer and my Berserker!

Um, you learn people's names by asking and remembering. We don't need stupid name tags.

Okay. I was just wondering since I saw that other people did it and like I said, I have never been to a war before. Thanks for letting me know.

But then, the people that are being dropped off won't be able to trade because we won't be able to lug all of our trading supplies to the battle ground.

I know there will be a few cars there.
If you want to lock something up, you can just leave it in someones car.
My car will be available for whatever.

At this point I am most definitely going. My ankle is a bit messed up, but it will most likely not intrude on my participation.

Sweet. Yeah, it would be great if I could use your car as a "safe." Thanks so much. How big is the trunk? I was thinking of bringing quite a lot of blasters.

- Big Salvo tank[s]
- Tubing splices and 4-way crosses
- Tubing check valves
- 20ft of PETG (Thick or med wall is best, but I'll take whatever)
- A Berserker turret
- Felt and washers for CS darts
- Holsters and belt pouches
- Lightning Blitz
- Stock Lanard Shotgun
- Nerf Pinpoint Sight
- Nerf Bandolier

And also, can someone please be a stock or modded 2k I can by?
P.S. I will be wearing a green DC shirt, lets see if someone reconizes me...

EDIT: I can also bring a NIB Blue airtech 3k for either $20 or a trade.

I can't wait, I was making darts till pretty late...
I just realized that my only winter jacket is neon green.. So much for camo. And the weather forcast said a high of 29 so it should be pretty chilly.
I was thinking about bringing my Flip camcorder, If anyone actually checks this before the war, do you think thats a good idea?

Sure, documentation is always awesome.
Also we might be creating a new gametype, called carry the bull. Its a literal type game.

The war was AMAZING!

Highlights:

- Meeting lots of NIC members in person
- Getting a headshot on Madmax from 50 feet.........even though he was my teamate and he was out. (I didn't know the latter two).
- Sliding down a 20 feet hill of sheer ice while trying to desperately escape the mass of zombies heading towards me.
- Taking part in the first ever round of "Ride The Donkey"........or whatever it was called.
- The Effeminate back to back standoffs in the last round with Zack the Mack. Both of us were using +Bows and were in 4 inch deep mud.
- Being able to photograph the zombie war.
- Shooting myself in the finger at point blank with my L+L.
- Buying a stock PC for $15 :)

I will soon be posting all the pictures I took on Photobucket and post the good ones in this thread.

FUCKING Effeminate! I may have slight frostbite, but it was worth it.

Highlights

-I'm sorry Lucian (I think), but this has to go on here, EXTREME BARREL TAP!
-5 shots and 5 kills in the free for all last round
-raider rush's in the zombie round
-sliding down ice for the hell of it
-ninja zombie! (scaling a cliff to get to people as a zombie)
-having my crossbow not break for the entire day!
-RIDE THE BULL!
-tossing the bull off a 50 foot (about) cliff and watching it bounce, unharmed
-150 foot arc shot with the crossbow, maybe more, but not less than 130

Shit, I'm so tired I almost forget everything that happened... <_<

SNOW IS FUN.
My crossbow didn't break.
I didn't die in the second round, and got 3 kills!
But I think my legs might be tired tomorrow for the next week.
Bulls+cliff=a good time.
Battlefield conditions rock.
And watching z80 ride a foot tall Bull with an eliminator.

I can't wait for the next one...
