
Lubing Neoprene Washers

I've herd (or at least I think I have) that is you directly lube a neoprene washer bad things will happen. Is this true? How can I lube it?

This question is actually answered in the pinned Lubricants thread. But the problem with the spray lubes is the propellants and any other petroleum distillates.
