I would prefer the 10th, because there's a higher chance of grabbing the MN guys. Ideally, this pre-war gets everyone that can't go to the main event.

The only bad thing would be if all my guns broke at this war and I don't get enough time in between to fix :|

My Mazda gets almost 30 MPG but only carries 4 comfortably- any date is fine for me, if I ask off in advance. Whenever other MN Nerfers would be free, I can run a carpool down to the Windy City.

P.S. if you Chicagoans want to meet up for tea and crumpets, on any given day of the week, that's well and fine- hopefully we ALL can find a date that would allow for the biggest, baddest, Nerf war possible.

Hey Ryan, how are the lights out there? I haven't been to that place in a long while and forget how it gets when dark. Also just in case I need to strap a flashlight to anything I'm packing or *gasp* using photoelectric darts or a firefly.

Crap, I'm running in the Urbanathlon in the Loop on the 17th. When I'm done I'll try and make it back post-haste, but it's highly unlikely. I'm still on for the 10th though.

Since it looks like attendance will be over 20 people, with a possibility of having close to 40, would anyone object to paying <$5 per person so we could reserve a pavilion? FDPCC's website states that renting a "grove" is $35.00 plus a $20.00 application fee and $5 for some other bullshit.

So basically it's like $2 a nerfer if we get 30. I think it's well worth the money so we don't have any problems playing there and we get to reserve a space to put our shit.

I'll contact them in the next week and see if it's cool. If not, we have several other locations.

Does renting this pavilion also grant us access to a BBQ? If so, why not make it 5 bucks a person, and use the additional cash to buy charcoal, burgers, hot dogs and gallon jugs of water. It would be cheaper then bouncing for lunch and keep the group together. Yeah, a little extra work, but no real time would be lost considering commute time to and from a fast food place.

I think they have BBQ's on site that we could use. If not I have a portable grill. I'll look into it and let everyone know what they owe me.
