This was obviously inspired by the ZomBBB and the Creamsicle, with secondary credit to all the people whining about my last mod not being rear-loading.

The SM750: Already had a plugged pump and hot-glue trigger.

Cut the shell like this, and glue on an o-ring or your sealer of choice (I'm 90% sure I re-glued it after this picture so it wasn't so off-center looking). I was going to use craft foam, but I was too lazy to go and buy any, and this o-ring happened to be the right size. I think it came off of a Tech Target Knockoff, but I can't be sure. I trimmed down the ridge (the small part that is vertical in this picture) on top of the SM750 tank as well, you will need to use your turret as a guide for this part. I balanced the blaster on the o-ring with a plastic wedge to get it to dry evenly and against the shell.

The Firefly Turret:

Cut the rotation mech like so. This lets it fit into the shell better and get low enough so that the barrel lines up with the tank. This picture also shows the enlarged rear-loading holes.

Cpvc fits perfectly into the top and bottom parts of the turret, so it's easy to keep the barrels straight and reinforced. You will have to cut it slightly shorter then in this picture because it tapers in a bit still.

All finished on the turret. I used silicone sealant on the bottom of each barrel to keep it airtight, and epoxy putty on the top so they don't fall out. As you can see my barrels aren't remarkably even, but I kept them around the 6in mark that has been recommended in many other SM750 mods.

The Finished Product:

I used a ton of epoxy putty to hold it together. The bungee cord is helping keep a good seal on the o-ring and turret while it dries (so perhaps it did give an extra 10 feet :( ) I'm a little worried about it being too fragile, but the separate components are both strong, so I can always reattach them with a hose clamp or something like that if they fall apart.

I chopped the barrels down almost flush with the turret, and it seems to be working better. I'm also getting amazing ranges now that it's cold out, dart fit makes a huge difference with this mod. In the summer I was getting around 50', after it snowed I started getting competitive at the same ranges as anybody else. I would like to either make a brassed turret that I can swap out with cpvc for the summer, or get another SM750 to do this mod to.

That's all I can think of, let me know if you have any questions or whatever.

I didn't see that note on the front page til today, so I edited the title to be slightly clearer.

Sweet dude, nice range/ROF and you aren’t running around with a big dumb lunker of a gun. How many pumps to get a good shot off?

As a side note: I can’t wait to see what you do with that Sonic Bazooka.

The Difference:
-Guns shoot bullets that kill people
-Blasters shoot darts that tag people

I do not play with guns.

I normally pump to 4. The Sonic Bazooka in the picture is cut off right before where I accidentally ripped the front off while trying to remove the stock barrel. So most likely I will be putting it in the garbage.

It does increase ROF fire greatly.

Also, according to you, keeps similar, (or the same) range.

This is kind of off topic, but not really, is that an old or new style SM750?

Also what darts are you using?

I believe that that's an Old Style SM750. Very nice mod, Velveeta (I've never like that kind of cheese). I think that I may do this if I ever recieve an SM750.

A mixture of pretty much every style dart left over from the last MN war. I normally use 1 to 1.5 inch with bb's and hotglue, but I won't be making another batch until I figure out when I can attend a war next. The 50' darts were definitely the black foam ones that are way to tight for my cpvc, I didn't keep track of the ones that went really far though.

*pic of the finished project*

Finally somebody else who drinks Maine Root Ginger Brew. Believe it or not, it's to strong for most of my friends.

But nice mod. Especially if those are the ranges you were getting singled.
