Ok, so we got there at 11, Nerfed till like 3, then got lunch, then went till about 6. Most people would call it a day, and be really tired, but us being the Mn crew, we roll more hard core than anyone else on the Nerfing block, so we decided to grab a bite, then kick off a fucking intense indoor war too. RF20s, Magstrikes, FURYFIRES!! (Thats right, first war they were used at ever) and Mavs were king, and we had a blast.

Good Shit
-Nerfing!!
-Having Fun!!
-Being a force to be reckoned with with my 1500
-Having a kick ass time
-Talking shit
-Having more fun

Bad stuff
-If you kept reading this section, you need to Nerf. There is nothing bad about Nerfing, so hence, no more "cons" or "bad things"

Oh, and anyone who says that Mavericks, Magstrikes, and any other low range/High ROF gun don't belong in Nerf, then you need to throw away your Nerf guns, and stop attempting to play the game. As Talio, and anyone else who has said it on the Podcasts said, anyone who can't Nerf with guns like the Mav and have fun need to stop.

It was lots of fun. Oh, my god it was Effeminate.

How was the Engineering building at the UoM? (I am assuming that was the indoor location)

Great fun guys. This was a lot more like just hangin out then like a SERIOUS Nerf war. Lots of fun, and driving all over the place and doing weird things was pretty fun. Here's a few things just for now.

-Going into the Beaver's Apartment, and seeing how small it actually is.
-Stopping at the park where the war on Friday is. Everyone walking out with one gun. Playing a round or two, then just leaving.
-Dropping pennys and darts down the SCARY high stairwell.
-Testing out a bunch of new locations, all in the same day.
-Seeing how crazy weird the outside of Paul's house is.
-Feeling happy without RSCBs for once.

Oh, and I made the video of the indoor war. Here it is

↑ The best part of that video is the slo-mo "I'm on YOUR team!", although my favorite part of that inside war was making my way through a dark unlocked classroom to ambush you and Beaver with a Magstrike. That inside location was the best, it's really fun to just spew stock darts on automatic everywhere. My suggestion if we hold a longer war there would maybe be to do it on a Sunday, so we don't have to pay for parking.

The 2 outside locations were pretty good also, I can definitely see future wars at either being quite enjoyable. All in all I can't wait for next weekend.

That was a good war, the locations were great. Just hanging out was fun and the pizza was fucking awesome.

+Finally using my magstrike at a war.
+Using the SM5K until the goop around the check valve failed, it worked really well shotgun loaded.
+The fastblast.
+Fixing up my SM1500 with 1' barrels AT the war, only to find that it didn't work unpluggd.
+The clip of Julian that Hilt took during the lil' berserker round.
~My BigBad750 triggers were finicky but it was an easy 5 min fix.
-Getting hit in the shoe.
~The Civil engineering building was really cool but uncomfortably warm.
+Getting to look at the FU's Velveeta had.
-I only took 1 pic....those were new batteries that I put in....
-Hilt leaving early.
+The ridiculous Tek Target knockoffs.
+The only good use for a tek10 turret.
+I didn't loose too many darts, communal darts are a great idea.

I'm looking forward to Friday and Saturday.

You fuckers had to have an awesome war right when I couldn't be there! Argh I've got to get to an indoor war sometime, I'm so tired of long-range wars.

Off to watch the vid now.

Great video, venom.

I liked all the locations we played at. The park was very large, although it is a bit open. I like it much better than Highland. The west river parkway was a fun location for the 1 round we played. The civil engineering building worked okay, although we had only 4 players, and it was warm as hell. Chest high walls are lame -- next time, I'm going to pull up some tables and chairs so that we can easily climb over the walls. I think the area outside the civil engineering building would work well for a war.

I'm very glad that we played an all-rapid-fire guns indoor game, as well as using them outdoors in a halfway effective manner. Automatics are so much fun to use; what a nice break from long-range potshots. I'm not sure why SM5ks are banned in so many wars. This is the first time I've seen one in action, and it shoots about as hard as a 4B.

AT2ks and SM1500s proved their war effectiveness once again. As if there were any doubt.

I got to use my arrowstorm. Yay! I had a lot of fun during the silly weapons round. Everyone died instantly in a flurry of stock darts. Also: Mid-air dart collision. Supposedly it was Effeminate. And the single Rambo round was fun until I ran out of ammo (I was carrying an RSCB'd 4B, a magstrike and two NFs).

RSCB clips were hardly used this war. Others on the forum have complained that they throw off your aim, and I think that is true. I was also getting annoyed by the loss in range. Granted, I had a 1ft clip on my Big Blast. I used a simple PETG breech all day, and I was able to land my shots much more consistently. My dual holstered NFs gave me some semblance of ROF, and I think I landed more hits with those than with my 4B. I am very intrigued by the creamsicle-style rear-loading turrets. Assuming that the deadspace could be cut down, they would be a very useful add on to a primary.

Hilt: sorry for not picking you up. I'll make it up to you.

The pictures I took turned out like crap, sorry.

Sorry I left early.

Venom, could you send the raw video (IE, not the final product) to me at eger_k@yahoo.com? Or, bring it on a flashdrive this Friday and I'll give the drive back to you on Saturday.

It's for the summer's compilation, of course.

Beaver... it happens.

I took apart the fastblast here's what I found out:

- It has a back pressure tank which works because the pump tube widens at the end
- adding a check valve would only work if you put in a "blast button" or release valve also
- removing the pegs does little to nothing for range
- lubing the pump tube doesn't really help either
- the main limiting factor in the blaster is how the barrel changer works and how small(diameter) the space is from the tank to the barrel

So, the only practical way to maintain the rear pumping thing and generally make it work/be effective is to:

- Replace the stock pump with one that fits and has a built in check valve.
- Add a blast button to the front handle
- Replace the excessively telescoping stock barrels with PETG or some other loose barrel material

Here's the two pics I took.
The last few seconds of a round at the outdoor war.

And the semi aftermath of the indoor war (there were a few rounds after this pic was taken)

Oh, beaver, do you have my Big Blast? I think I left it in the back of your car. Just don't demolish it ok? Or do, but give me a heads up first.
