It seems like whenever I try to fire streamlines out of any of my guns that have a 9/16 brass breach, they fail miserably about 50% of the time. I've tested this in both my BBB and my LS - some of the darts just fail, while others work great (basically none of them work in the BBB, but I expected that: I think there's a dent in the middle). I have the same issues when I cut them down to the size of a stefan and put a BB inside the head of the dart. Sometimes they spin like crazy and go 20', sometimes they just fall out of the gun 3' in front of me, and sometimes they get comparable ranges to when I fire stefans (which work great in both). Has anyone else had this problem?

Well i will state the obvious they are probably loose in the barrel. Try some cpvc or 17/32.

It's the fit. If you stick your finger in the end of the dart, the skirt of the dart will push against the sides and create a better seal.

Problem solved...17/32 fits stock darts better. Its always been tight on my darts though.
.
Edit: I was a little late.

It's possible that they're loose, but it seems like a pretty good fit. In any case, it doesn't seem like that alone would explain the extremely erratic behavior of the darts - the spread of ranges is too big. Besides, my stefans have a smaller diameter than stock darts, and they work just fine.

It could explain the behavior, because the darts could have slightly different fits, which can make a big difference sometimes, especially if you have a longer barrel on it. As for the stefans, perhaps the head is bigger than the foam, which could create a nice seal. This could be it if the stefans aren't made well. However, I would recommend 17/32 brass, which is what I use. It seems to work quite well with most darts.

I know what you mean. First off, if the fit seems fine, its not. You might get away with that if you're using an airgun but even if it seems ok it's not.

Second, the difference is explained by the difference in the darts. When I lined up all my streamlines in my ammo case (because I'm ocd like that) the darts' foam is really different. They get thinner and thicker, and the foam really isn't so great as compared to taggers. nd plus the heads on streamlines really suck. They get thinner instead of thicker, and the hole in the side is screwed up. What you do is cut half the tip off so your left with a flat platform at the front. Then make a dome of hotglue. I didn't need to add any weight for mine.

That is all.
