I'm out until summer...May has several gigs and my daughter's birthday, plus working Sundays. June will see my schedule relax quite a bit.

Speaking of Brandon, has anyone talked to him lately?

I just facebooked him. If you've got a way to contact him that would be awesome.

Bummer, see you at the SOF war.

After pm's with Sam I should be in attendance with my girl, possibly with the rest of the Chicago Nerf Mob. This sounds like its shaping up to be an Effeminate war!

Its still a ways away. I'll decide on the date as soon as I hear back from the last few people I PM'd/e-mailed. It's looking like it will be the 16th. Schedule for the war will be posted a week before the war.

We decided at MNNO that we should have this war at Highland. Newell is too crowded on Saturdays when the weather is nice, and I don't think it's worth paying the rental fee for this war (perhaps for larger wars like SPANO though).

Yeah, I think Venom said it was like 50$ or something like that...

That's really not a lot of money.

If we get 10 people minimum, that's only $5 a person. I'd be willing to pay that.

I tried doing some research on the park rental. It doesn't sound as easy as we thought. Read it http://www.stpaul.go...ew.asp?DID=7484. Julian, where and when did you get your info about renting the park?

My girl and I are in for sure. I'll be in the TC for an extended weekend. If anyone wants to meet up for dinner or something let me know.

EDIT: Have we decided on a location yet?

F, F, F! My cousin just planned a baby shower on the 16th :)

At least now I will have time to make an actual primary instead of settling for the grand scheme of duel sawed-off Double Shots…

The Difference:
-Guns shoot bullets that kill people
-Blasters shoot darts that tag people

I do not play with guns.

I figured I should bump this. Surprisingly little posting for such a large war, that must be good. Anyway, should have my Doomsayer completely done by Saturday aside from the auto-rotating turret (which I don't really like, I prefre the control and reliability of a manual turret). The Doomsayer is usable now though, just doesn't have rearloading and a crappy turret to plunger seal. Just going to throw together a few more basic guns and I should be good.

I look forward to nerfing with all the new and far traveled people. Snake, I know your weakness.

Hopefully I'll be able to show off my newest piece of work this weekend.

I'm sure it will be a hit.

I'm driving in Friday night. I'll be bored out of my mind most likely. If any of you are free and maybe like to catch some dinner, shoot the shit or whatever, I'm down. I'm staying somewhere in Wooddale.

I'll be bringing several feet of transparent PVC if anyone is interested in purchasing. It works very well for RSCB clips (so you can see if it is loaded). Also, other goodies. If anyone is interested in purchasing a blue AT2k, let me know. Also, I still want to get rid of my BnA.

...hmm I could use that 2K..... Did you get the PVC from McMasterr?

Anyway, I'll be bringing the first half of the Crooksbow thing I'm working on, (the bow portion) all I have to do is attach the breech (goop CPVC on the BBB and epoxy-putty the CPVC to the brass). I wanted to have it completely done by now but doing a writeup slows things down, and living between two houses doesn't help...

...I will also be bringing the SM3K, but I don't have enough darts that fit CPVC as well as I'd like. Does anybody have darts that are a bit loose in CPVC?

If anyone is interested, I have a few gift cards that I would like to be rid of:
-$25 to Game Stop
-$35 to Target
-$50 to Target

Trades are acceptable, just PM me.

I almost forgot we had set the date for the 16th!

I'll start working on the schedule and general war prep today. Any questions?

Do you usually structure the wars, i.e., sort of have a set schedule?

Also: I vote for no tower rounds. I don't like those.

Second on the no tower rounds, nerf without movement is extremely silly.

This will be the first time we try a structured war like this. I've wanted to do it for a while now, but just haven't had the time to set it up.

FINALLY! Some other people that don't like tower rounds!! There won't be any tower rounds per say, but I might try to incorporated the tower in some other way. There will be plenty of death match, team death match, gunslinger heaven, central flag, capture the flag, VIP, and Z-VIP.

Also I'd like people not to forgot, I want you guys to pack light. Do NOT bring a bunch of shit like we always do. You guys should be able to carry everything from your car in one trip.

Beaver, what size is your clear PVC?

Okay, here are the rough plans:
9:30 Arrive and prep
10:00 2 team death match warm up
10:15 3 team death match warm up
10:30 capture the flag (2 teams)
11:00 Central flag (2 teams)
11:30 Central Flag (3 teams)
12:00 2 team death match
12:30 Lunch
1:00 Pistol round (3 person teams)
1:30 gunslinger heaven
2:00 3 team death match
2:30 Central flag (3 teams)
3:00 VIP
3:30 Z-VIP
4:00 Free-for-all

As you can I see I have roughly an hour for each game type. We're basically gonna go by this, but if something isn't working, or if something else works really well, I am more than will to change stuff up.
Also I only have stuff set up until 4, after 4 we can do whatever game type/scenario we want.
