Watz up
I have had my Longshot for almot a year now. It has standard mods (no angle breach). Recently the gun will not prime. When i pull on the handles to prime the gun it will stop and the plunger will not reach the catch. I tried almost everything and it seems that the onily thing that helps is if I have only a Ls and a Recon spring in. So far that is the onily thing that works. Help!!!!!!!

If you were using those springs in the longshot it would shatter the bolt sled. Is the longshot singled?

Some answers to your problem: (All may not apply)

1). Your bolt sled is warped and about to blow up, and that could cause it not to cock.
2). Your catch plate spring needs reinforcement.
3). The spring can't compress enough to reach the catch plate. You stretching the springs probably fucked it up.

I recommend that you buy a new bolt sled from someone here on the forums and reinforce it, because that bolt sled is NOT going to last much longer. I recommend using epoxy and aluminum sheets, but I am experimenting with fiberglass, so its your call. Also, reinforce your catch plate spring with a cut-down pen spring. This can be done with standard wire cutters. Another thing, Do NOT stretch your springs, EVER. This ruins the springs, as they get weaker over time. This also causes problems with the springs not being able to compress completely, especially in the longshot. I recommend also buying another longshot stock spring and a cut-down AR-15 spring. That will give you plenty of power.

Yah, same thing happened to me, no warping or weakened anything. Just too weak of a catch plate spring. Add a new one, as well as done.

No one else said this, but maybe check to see if your barrel where it is glued to the part that pushes the plunger back is cracked. That happened to me on my recon where it cracked and the barrel went over it just a bit so that it wouldnt push the plunger back far enough to prime
