That war was great. Those of you who skipped out (like half of the confirmed attendees... shame on you) missed a great war, packed with tons of nerfing.

Things that I liked about the day:

-finding a sweet battlefield that had a large open field and an awesome castle-like playground.
-meeting a few new people and them having a good time
-HVZ! That playground was perfect for it, and the "zombie-lava" rule just made it that much more Effeminate. I especially liked standing in that cross-type platform and fending off waves of zombies with a single pistol for quite a while, until we all got overwhelmed.
-shooting weaksauce's guest (i think that was you) in the forehead with my ttg and having him fall over backwards
-double jumping over bench+fence every chance I got, too bad I didn't actually do it during combat though
-sm1500 working beautifully in the open field, she scored quite a few crotch shots due to me specifically aiming low so as to not hit anyone's head
-shooting Twitch in the head is also always fun
-scoring two hits on weaksauce's PAS barrel with my sm1500, one while he was in a full sprint
-being ridiculously accurate, efficient and hard to hit all day

Great war, hope to see most/all of you back when it warms up.

Alright here are my highlights.

-shooting Casey in the forehead
-meeting a bunch of new people
-hvaing a great time
-getting a triple sword kill
-getting a gun triple kill with my BBB and Tech Target
-Having my BBB work great
-getting compliments on my Longshot
-Seeing a +BOW and some rare guns in person
-seeing jedijoe climb throughout the whole fort
-having Chrono show up like a total badass
-HvZ without ques was the funnest!
-seeing bpso gun down the whole team with a powerclip(vid of that on the way)

Sorry if the pics are too big but I thought since it wasn't a write-up or anything it was fine.

I just got home about an hour ago and I'm so glad I decided to come out for the day. Definitely a bit of a slow start, but once we got going, we just steamrolled through round after round. I definitely got bang for my buck. Broken guns were my theme of the day-- I accidentally broke TWO of nerfmafia's guns during two separate zombie rushes (sorry again, mafia!) along with my SNAP plunger head and the coupler on my maxshot.

Highlights:
-bpso/hip badassing the whole day. I think at some point I gave up trying to hit him because every shootout ended up with me losing and my darts miraculously missing him every time.
-Being able to climb on everything. I love playgrounds and I climb on anything that looks remotely climbable. Made for some fun situations during the war
-Seeing some more members (UberKuhlMan, Mafia, Weaksauce) My only question is: Why do the next generation of nerfers insists on having long hair?
-So many HVZ rounds. The castle playground is awesome for HVZ, but I was constantly suprised that people kept voting to play more rounds of it. I'm not sure if it is just because it is such a break from the norm, but it's one of my favorite gametypes and I love seeing the hierarchy of zombie survivalists that develops (perhaps it's also because I love climbing on things to assault people)
-During a CTF round, sweeping around back and taking out six people (shooting two, barrel tapping four) before getting killed. I'm not a competitive person (it's all about having fun for me), but I definitely like feeling like a legitimate threat to the other team.
-Seeing 18 people running around for 6 and 1/2 hours in 20-30 degree weather. I love Ohio nerf.

Overall, awesome war that will hold me over quite nicely until we get some nice weather.

Does no one else remember the hilarity as Haz-Mat tried to climb into the tire swing below the "castle" and climb up inside through the tunnel intended for a 12 year-old, getting stuck, seeing a Zombie rush toward him, tuning his 3k to the zombie, getting it caught on the chain, having all of the darts fall out, seeing the Zombie charge even faster, then nearly shitting himself as the other guy leaped across the "lava", landed next to him, and shot the zombie w/ a Maverick when it was <4" from Haz-Mat?


It may have been one of the most heroic and dramatic saves in Nerf that I will ever witness.

How did my dad talk me out of it. I WILL come to the Sping one I just thought it would be to cold for this one. Well he didn't feel well due to his back (He has nerve damage). But I did kick ass at ACE:
5 1/2" CPVC Couplers
1 Sheet of 150 Grit sandpaper
1 Can of Krylon Clear Coat
2 Feet of 9/16ths Brass
1 20ft. Bag of 1/2" ACE Foam
1 Super easily budgeted day

All for the measily price of $15.75.

Hell yeah. I made a pair of "fitted holster shorts" a while ago and I pretty much nerf exclusively in them now. it made for an interesting winter clothing choice, but style over substance, right?
