I have an Orchard too, its by Elk Grove, I would put that as the site to war, but its too far away. CHECK POST: Updated.

Step 1 to make this war happen:
Delete the "?" from behind "February 7th" in your first post. Solidify it. See what happens.

Step 2:
Remember all those people who came to your last war but haven't posted in here? PM them! Let them know you want to have another event, and that they should come. Kdizzlewhatever-that-number-is hasn't posted in here yet, and I know there are more...

Step 3:
Tell ALL of your friends that all of the cool kids will be at such and so a place on such and so a day, and that it's going to be awesome, so they have to be there. In short: recruit people into your OWN group. Single nerfers rarely draw crowds. CLANS draw crowds. My first war I hosted never would've gotten Spoon, Cxwq, Rawray7, Anyaseijin, and more to come if there wasn't a 9-person clan I was representing. People like numbers. Bags...bags would've come to the first CAFF anyway, but that's besides the point...

Step 4:
Make up some BS about some high-profile members flying across the country to come to your war. When everyone shows up and the big-wigs aren't there, just say their flight got cancelled, carry on with your day, and have a good time.

In short, I'm almost DEMANDING that you make this war happen, because I want to see y'all up in the northern half of my state having a good time.

Alright fuckers, I'm taking this one over. My sister lives in that area and I'm due for a visit. If I can nerf while I'm there all the better.

I can't get an exact date, but let me put this out there. If I were to make a trip out there to show you guys how to host a really good nerf war, who would come? I just want to make sure we'd get like 5 or 6 people together and then I'll work on when I might be able to make it. I literally would just fly out for the weekend, but it would be a good chance to see my family and shoot some of your bastards!

Also if I can get another "franchise" in the country going, it would be awesome. You guys might overtake Jersey someday as the nerfing capital of the country. And yes, I'm reclaiming this from Socal.

Oh goddamnit! I'm actually seriously considering how I could attend if you guys did set up a war in Tracy. Dammit my wife will kick my ass when she realizes that my real intent was not to visit family but rather to go to a nerf war. Have to figure out how to sneak my blasters with me.

Anyways I was thinking Dr powers park isn't all that great cause a lot of people are in that area. And it is in direct view of the main road. Might draw undue attention. A better park I'm thinking is El Pescadero Not on the Grantline side but on the Kavanaugh side in the back west side there is an awesome area that i think would lend well to nerfing. You have the hill inclines and the trees for cover. Check it out on Google maps satellite view you will see what I'm talking about.

Don't forget schools. Just spending the little bit of time that I have there, I think the schools may be better locations then parks. But to be honest, I'll need more interest then the little I have already if I'm going to throw something together. Not that I don't mind nerfing with 3 people, but if I'm flying across the country for this, it's going to be specifically to get another regular war location going. If there's just no interest in the area, then forget it.

nothing against this war but I think we might be putting our eggs in the wrong basket. The war my team hosted a few months ago (SJNO), I think was the most successful Nor cal war to date. Radio anlong with several other haven members attended. Not only did we have 20+ people show up to play we had 4 active female nerfers. Just read the responces that people posted on the thread. We have a great location and a large following of local people. It allows for fewer mambers here to attend and still have a great turn out along with lots of room to grow into a large turnout nationwide war. Here we are looking at maybe 6 people to go. If talio and others will be there to regulate then I will make sure team supernova is there to support and have fun. If not then I propose we wait until SJNO 2 that is currently in the works for early marchish.

The only reason that SJNO was so succesful was because you had a lot of friends come. I am sorry I do not know a lot of people, but that doesn't mean that I shouldn't have this war. Also, your DTG came back again. I don't know whats wrong. And whats wrong with a small war? Not every war is going to have 20 people coming.

Absolutely. We had 8 at the first DCNO. Now it's a major east coast war attracting large crowds. Do SJNO, but if you won't show up to a nerf war because there will only be 6 people there then I don't think you can even call yourself a nerfer. And let me put one more thing out there. If you're attendance is hinged upon mine, then we have a problem. Because it tells where you're teams motivation lies and it's not in the mere fun of nerfing.

So my point is, if you have a whole team that can drive an hour from San Jose to get to a nerf war, pull up your big boy undies and get the team there whether I'm gonna be there or not.

Officially now that I know there is interest I'm going to try to make it work. Maybe not in February, but I will make it happen. All of you need to get out there in February and play or stop calling yourself nerfers.

You really have no idea how many wars we have regularly, and how many people attend them, do you?

At any rate, I'm looking forward to seeing this come together again. kdizzle, Talio's right that you could easily get a fair chunk of your group out there. I go to other people's wars within from 45 minutes to two hours away even though wars at MY location in my hometown have better overall attendance, because it gets really dull playing in the same place all the time. For that matter, wars with massive attendance get dull sometimes too. There's a reason Apocalypse has to be in an open field every year...

The very first war I went to was hosted by nerfer9. There was only 6 people, 3 of whom were myself and the 2 friends I brought. It was a blast from the car ride up, to playing, to checking out eachothers stuff. My concern isn't with the number of people in attendance its with the organization and professionalism of how it will be run. Don't get me mistaken my team loves to nerf and were out doing so everyother night even before we knew what modifing a gun meant, but going to a war and getting a 3k shot at our face from point blank range not durring a war game isnt wat we want.

Anyways I guess it dosent matter because I was just reminded that I had already comitted to go to my co-workes baby shower on feb 7th. If there is anything I can to to help this war be a success then plase let me know. If for some reason the date gets moved I atleast (not sure bout my other 2 teammates) would surely attend

I have learned from my experience. Stop trying to sway people from my war. The entire world is not focused on SJNO or you for that matter. I am not going to change the date so you can come, just cause' I screwed up once doesn't mean that I'll do it again or that you should host the war.

Whoa whoa whoa. I wasn't tring to get people to not go to your war and I apologize if it came across that way. I wasn't expecting you to change the date for me or for anyone else for that matter. To clear up any bad blood or misunderstandings, I do support your war and I have nothing aginst you. Anyone who loves nerf and loves going out and nerfing, which its apparent youre passionate about, is pretty awesome in my book. Besides I love going to Tracy for sonics!
