A few days ago I stumbled across a POWERLINE Model 15XT CO2 BB gun. I knew it was putting out much air, so went for it. I stuck on a 2 inch PETG barrel, just for a test, with some hot glue. My results are incredible. If this thing doesn't shoot the BB out of your stefan, it will be maxing at a whopping 57 - 63 FT. Flat. Picture time:

It can be found at Sports Authority, and it varied from $40.00 to $60.00 from what I've seen.

I've seen them in Walmarts. I wonder if it's war legal scine its has no priming time except for new Co2 cartrides.

Cool for what it is, but way too expensive to be worth it. Unless you still wanted it BB compatible, you could gut out the BB barrel and shell until you get to the valve, and adhere the barrel to that. That would give much better ranges. Also, sine its putting out so much extra air, try to find a longer BB gun barrel (prolly can get it online somewhere) to make use of that air (when using BB's).

Fine, I guess. I personally would have left it as a BB/airsoft gun and bought a NF instead, for cheaper. And how many shots do you get off with one Cartridge? With my CO2 airsoft pistol I get about 25 with one...

EDIT: With some sort of inline/hopper fed system, you got yourslef a semi auto beast.

Longshot Wielder - I don't know the specifics on it at the moment, when it comes to being war legal.

TantumBull - It's still BB compatible. When you say better ranges, do you mean for shooting BBs or stefans?

Rokor - As you would know, you owning a CO2 gun, the amount of air output decreases per shot. I can get out around 60 shots before it dies. After the first 10 shots, it will slowly lose CO2, but it will be more noticable. Throughout the 60 shots, these are the ranges. 1-10 = 55-63FT; 10-20 = 45-55FT; 20-30 = 30-40FT; and the others keep dropping. If in a war, after the first 30 shots i'd end up changing the CO2 cartridge.

I said you'd have to gut out the BB barrel and trim the shell, which would make it unable to fire BB's, but would fire stefans much farther than they shoot now.

I recently obtained a Remmington TAC-1 Airsoft shotgun and i had an idea similar to yours.

But i thought that since its breech-loaded, it wouldn't get nearly the power-output that one would want when converting an Airsoft gun to a Nerf gun. But yours seems fine. Cool mod.

Is it blowback? If you used a different gun then it would be pretty cool, as you could be like "Its a suppressor"
(sorry, Im gonna be a gun nerd and say that a colt M1911 could not be silenced as the .45 caliber bullet it fires is just too much of a power house, and it would take away from its distinct bark.)

But say you did this with a MK 23. that would look sweet as a dart conversion, and the cover for the PETG would make an awesome suppressor like device, even if it wouldn't work.

Waste of an airsoft gun, but it looks pretty cool, and I bet its fun to plink around the house with.

Even at $40, that is a pretty big waste of money. You get the same kind of range with a Pistolsplat for $15. But then, you do tend to have more money than you know what to do with.

On topic, I think that you definitely need a longer barrel on that thing to maximize range. I would play around with different barrel lengths until you find the most effective one.

d0nk3y k0n9 You can put a silencer on any gun (except for the fact that it wont make most revolvers quieter) , for a 1911 all you need is an extended barrel with threads on it to fit the silencer.

BustaNinja 1911s are all subsonic.

One, just to clarify this... It's not an airsoft gun. It's a BB gun. It shoots out small metal pellets, similar to that in which many people put in their stefans.

BustaNinja - It isn't a waste of a BB gun, because it can still fire BBs. Loading this gun has nothing to do with the front of the external barrel system.

Lion - You are correct, it is a regular BB gun.

Draconis - I don't completely understand if you stated yourself correctly, but if you're trying to imply that i'm rich and get everything I want, you're way off. I know that I bought the lancer, and various other expensive guns... but who said that I didn't pay for them? Recently I had to pay my father back for the rest of the lancer, so in essence I bought all of these guns with my money. No, I don't get an allowance, but instead I have to work.

Oh, sorry. I thought that I had made myself clear. But now we know WHY you have a poor excuse for priorities with money. The fact that your father not only ALLOWED you to pay $1000 for a toy (instead of telling you to grow some skills and do it your damn self), but also LENT you the money... I just got that gun. It's clear, and there's no way in hell the plunger is large enough to move a stefan very far. It's got a plunger around the size of an NF, bit a little shorter and wider.

This is a cool idea with the pistol. I'd attach a 5-6" barrel, and more securely. With the short barrel, you can keep it as a Nerf blaster, and a bb gun, but not the best of either. You're gonna have to make a choice if you want the optimum performance of either.

Really? I thought it shows that he had trust in me, and also.. I wouldn't talk if I were you. I can easily make a profit off of the lancer, but I won't. Numerous people have offered me well over $3000.00 cash, so instead of paying for a toy.. it has not become a collectors item. Get your facts straight before you go off bitching about things you don't know.

NOF: I like the conversion, but I don't like that you only get 30 shots at that range. If you could hook it up to a bigger CO2 tank, that might work better.

On topic: Pretty good seeming as you only put a 2" barrel on the END of it. but if you could somehow put to the back more(but not too far or the dart would just rip apart), it could be more worthy and more range.

The point was not whether your father trusts you or not, but whether it is a good idea to give any child the opportunity to waste that much money in the first place. Think of the enormous GOOD you could do for a family in need with that much money. It's more than my monthly mortgage payment. I'm not sure which facts you think I have wrong, as nothing that I have stated is actual fact anyway. Mostly my personal opinions and a bit of conjecture. My advice to you is take one of those offers of $3000, buy some good modding tools, some supplies, and put the other $2800 in to a fund for college. Then start doing some mods and grow some skills!

I doubt it will be not unless you paint it differently, I mean cops show up at our SoCal wars most of the time and if they saw someone with this, I don't think it'd be O.K.
We have plastic toy guns that shoot hot glue covered foam. If you had a BB gun (with it's orange tip removed) and a piece of clear plastic glued on top of it, from a distance it would look like you were about to shoot someone.

If you are going to use this in a war, you should probably paint it or something to make it look less incriminating.
