It depends, what do you use as barrels? Most of the darts we make down here will be too thick for CPVC and 17/32 brass. I had 200+ at fall SENO but still had to pick up darts.

Why would my barrel material matter? I use cpvc and my darts also fit 17/32 nicely...

But would 75 be enough?

Barrel material matters because if you have to pick up darts on the field, they won't work in your barrels.

I have no idea how you used 200 darts at SENO. Actually, I do. About 4 people actually did dart sweeps. Regular dart sweeps will help a lot. I lost only 50, and even though I was there late, I figure 100 should be enough. Don't get me wrong, I'm still making way more than that for spring SENO.

Thanks, but I though it was common courtesy to not use somone else's darts...

It is common courtesy to not steal other people's darts. During the war, as for what I have read and experienced, you pick up ammo from the field if you have to, and then it all gets back to its owner at the end of the war. That's how it was at Massacre. Feel free to correct me if your war isn't like this.

The real reason I lost so many is that I let every body else take them if they wanted to. The foam was really shitty and short darts would jam in the RSCB clip.

It all depends on your play style, I usually use 120 darts (1 roll of ACE brand foam) and I supply myself and 2 others with 120 darts each making the total only $15.00 as long as they limit themselves to 120 which usually isn't a problem.
Saturday is dart making night for me, I'm most like ly having the guys over to sit around and crank out darts...100 feet of darts. :D

I'm psyched for this war, I could punch a kitten right now if it made this war come any closer! (note: do not bring any felines to the tune-up war) I can't wait to see some of the new guys either, what a great way to kick of your warring season!

I should probably pick up some more foam...
Haha, nice. It certainly helps when there are several people.

LOL
To me, it's coming up real quick, and I might need some more time.

Oh yeah,

VIVA LA TUNE-UP!

I'm 90% sure I'm gonna make it. I have about 40 darts right now, and about 4 fishing weights.
I MUST finish my doomsayer by this war!

Cool, I will get to see how a K9 special does against a doomsayer. So would that be a definite?

I'm pretty positive I'm gonna make it. If you mean my doomsayer, all I have left is the rotation mech and the turret to plunger tube seal. Unless something unforeseen happens...

Let me know if there is anything you need for the war, I remember how nervous I was before my first NIC war. Just remember, this isn't the preppy school sports team that rejects you if you don't have cleats, we are a bunch of guys conversing from miles around to play Nerf. We want you to have fun!

Thanks, though. Along with a bunch of luck.

Actually I meant you coming but thats good to. Be warned, the rotation mech is the hardest part to get right.

I know. I fucked up my last one and had to buy another. I didn't realize this BEFORE I had gooped my barrels on. I ripped that shit off.

Hey Umpshaplapa, you should try the barrel setup I did on my Doomsayer. My barrels are airtight and removable.

If I make the war I will bring two doomsayers with me.

Nerkum, I can't see what part of the yellow turret piece you used. Can you explain?

I used the part that natrually rests against the rotation plate. Just cut about an inch of the yellow barrels off and used them as a couple for my PETG. Either side would work though, both ends are the same.. but the side that had the AR's in it.

If that don't help, just PM me and we will move the discussion to there.

It doesn't say. What date should we have it on if it does rain?

If it does rain, we will most likely push it back to April 18th. (the next Saturday)

Ok, I can't come this time. Turns out AMTA (a large piano competition I've trained for since October) is on the 11th. That pisses me off. I shall play with the furry of war! And you are about an 8 hour drive, so theres no arguing now. Maybe sometime in the summer you can count me in.

Dang. Well, good luck with the competition.

If you don't come to the SOF war, I will eat you.

Oh, ASOF, here's an updated attendence list:

Definites: 15-16
- A side of nerf and Veginator +8
- flyingchicken
- Rork +2-3
- umpshaplapa

Maybes: 6
- Cmdrmack
- Side's brother
- ezemoney999
- nerfkum
- MaverickMaster98
- nerfassassin

Hopefully, umpshaplapa is definite enough. xtremejumpy and hawksh0t can't make it, and I believe team stray dogs is banned.

Somebody said earlier that most of y'alls darts dont fit CPVC or 17/32. What size do they fit? Just seeing if they would be pick-upable mid round.

We use PETG and 9/16 brass.

Oh and Hawksh0t told me he was unable to attend so that leaves 6 maybes.
