Which happens to be where we are. Quite near the US-Canada border. The only place in Canada I'v been is Ontario.
What was your business here anyway? Relatives?
Anyways, that's cool.
Now, me and Mike are getting together today, and we will write-up a FULL report on how this war will work. Taking key information from this thread, and sprinkling new ideas into it, it will be like a newsletter that we will e-mail to all who are coming... bringing me to my next point.
What's the head count? List all of your friends, and we will need e-mails soon so we can send out the stuff. Carpool with your friends too.
That is all.
Not in the game anymore, but it was great while it lasted. Thanks for the great years of fun, NH!

We will be writing a full report, and making copies, so if anyone needs one, just ask. We may also raise public awareness, so that it's completely safe. Example, going to the local police station and letting them know that a bunch of kids with nerf guns are going around in a park shooting each other. We might also phone the local newspaper, and see if they want to do an article or something, to raise public awareness on two fronts:
- So nobody calls the cops
- Maybe get a few more people
I talked to my mom about this last night, she said she would try to get maps for wherever you're coming from. Let me know.

Me.who blick-182 or Black-wrath?
Building even more on this topic...
It's Spectre's birthday, wish him a horrible one. Guess what my birthday present for him was... no, it wasn't that, that's for when we are alone... Actually, the present was a shot in the temple... with my fucking SM5k. 3 pumps, and a Blade. I had no idea there was a dart loaded, and I thought I would just scare him.
Are you still alive Mike?... who's gonna scratch my pubes now?
Fear my gun... but be not too afraid, I'll keep my distance when shooting, I don't want to be responsible for you people having to go to the hospital with a bloody foam dart in your nipple.
Thanks for the um... the compliments... I know I'm crazy.
EDIT: Patiently waits at 2:00 am for someone to post so that I don't have to double post... Aye. If you are reading this, reply to something in this thread so that I can update you on the newsletter. I have it done in MS Word...

Aye, do you really think I'm that much of an idiot? Of course we will behave, and you better fucking watch your language too.O and plz dont cuss in front of the parents at the war
If your parents want to stay, then we don't have as much fun I guess, but we can try.
And wow 1/2 and 1/2, if you don't like the fact that we joke around, don't read our posts. I know that you are young, but I can't censor myself just for your needs, maybe you are too young for this community.
Mike seems to have survived the night, so I think you will all be happy to hear that the gun can't kill... with three pumps... heh.
The newsletter has been written, and Mike has revised and grammar checked it for me, considering I was writting it at 2:30 am today. Usually I use very good grammar, but after looking at the document this morning... wow, I few minor mistakes.
So people, is there a head count yet? I'm guessing 8 people so far?

Alright NN. Here's how it goes. We're comfortable with our being straight. We're comfortable with our being far enough out of the closet. We're so comfortable with it, that we can joke about gay stuff. Let me ask you something. Have you even had a girl friend? Do you have any experience with that stuff? If not, please, do us a favour with your hypocriticism and kindly piss offJoking is fine. But u guys made 3 dick jokes. I dunno.

Yes, being gay is fine. It is merely a sexual orientation, and that doesn't make the person any different. My best friend has two uncles that are homosexual, and they are very nice and cool people. I have no problem with the homosexual men and women.Alright NN. Here's how it goes. We're comfortable with our being straight. We're comfortable with our being far enough out of the closet. We're so comfortable with it, that we can joke about gay stuff. Let me ask you something. Have you even had a girl friend? Do you have any experience with that stuff? That being said, Mike put it perfectly. I have had my share of girls, and I'm sorta taking a break right now to be with my best friends. I am comfortable enough with myself that I can joke with my friend about things. That fact that you are offended by it is caused by fear and an upbringing against homosexual orientations. I will not accuse you of these things, but you seem to fear 'gays' as it were. Being homophobic isn't cool.
Now that we have that subject cleared up, I am going to post our newsletter so that you can get a glimpse at what is to come...
Meadowvale Nerf War Official News Letter
Okay people, this is the official newsletter for the ‘Meadowvale Nerf Out’. The name can be changed later, but I like it.
Now, I would like to outline a few key concerns I have about the war. These will be divided into their respective categories: Apparel, Safety, Time, Location, games, and finally, everything else that doesn’t fit in the above categories.
Apparel
For a Nerf war, you will generally want to be dressed in something very comfortable, and easy to move in. You will be dodging darts, running around, and it will be a mild day. Suitable apparel is anything you are comfortable wearing. There are laws, however, against certain choices of attire… such as not wearing pants in a public area. I shall hope we all show up ‘dressed to kill’, which is a double entandre.
Bring a backpack for all of your guns and parts, darts, and accessories. When and if we go out for lunch, you don’t want to be seen with a gun… plus, why carry it around?
Safety
You will be shooting projectiles at people, and having them to you. Safety is number one, and I will MAKE SURE that everyone is protected. The biggest factor is eye protection, and it will be REQUIRED at this war. Eye protection is goggles, glasses, shades, anything. I will be sporting some rubber science goggles, unbreakable by these darts.
You will also most likely need clothes that will soften the impact of darts. We do however need to be able to feel the hits so that there is no arguing over if you were shot or not.
Gloves are also something to consider, nothing like white knuckles after getting hit multiple times in the hand. Gloves are also good for crawling and such, if you use those tactics.
Time
We have our war date set for around March Break 2004. We have yet to decide an exact date. I haven’t looked at a calendar, but a Saturday sounds good for busy parents who will need to drive you to the war.
We have set the start date at 12:00 pm, and the war will rage until about 5:00. We find this to be a suitable time frame, so that when you leave it isn’t dark, and your parents will be able to get your home for dinner.
Location
The location is a school called St. Edith Stein. It is a catholic elementary school located in the Trelawney area of Meadowvale. It is always very placid on weekends, and there may be the odd group of people playing baseball at the rookie diamond. The area should be clear.
(NOTE: We have a backup area at Mt. Carmel Secondary School, no more than 20 minutes away by walk. This should be able to keep us going if an official game is going on in the diamond.)
(NOTE: If you need maps to this area, contact Spectre2689@sympatico.ca)
The weather here in Mississauga is predictable, and never changes much. For March, we expect a temperature range of 0*C to 7*C (maybe higher), after all, it is March. This is not cold, and is probably pants and long sleeved shirt weather, although I will be wearing a T-shirt and most likely sweat pants.
The location has many characteristics that we can use to our advantage. It is a large school, and it is shaped quite oddly. The field is two soccer fields, two baseball diamonds, portables, bushes, trees, grass, open field, tree lines, a forest, and a creek. There are plenty of places for cover, and shelter.
There is a plaza with places to eat not far from the location, walking distance (10 minutes). There are larger establishments within driving distance from our warring area as well. Washrooms will be bushes, and maybe Mike will be able to let us use his toilet and related materials.
Games
We haven’t really figured this out yet, we think that the games will be decided at the time. I would like to try a lot of rule sets and games to get the most out of this experience. Bring your ideas with you, and don’t be afraid to share your thoughts.
Our main game types would be CTF (Capture the Flag), Assault (one team defends and objective, another team tries to complete it), and just a Team Death Match sort of thing.
Everything Else
Bring a lunch if you can. This will make it easier on us as a group. Bring friends. Have fun. Laugh more than you cry. Goof around, but don’t be stupid. Remember safety comes first, and always others before you. Be polite and mature, and don’t get into stupid arguments. Try your best to not get hurt, and have as much fun as possible. Talk your parents into watching a round of Nerf so they know what we are doing.
I hope this answers all of your questions. If not, e-mail Mike (Spectre2689@sympatico.ca) or Cam (stonedsquirrelz@hotmail.com).
