I really hope it doesn't rain for this war. I will be driving ~6 1/2 hrs. and almost 400 miles to get to this thing. I certainly don't mind the drive, but I would like to have an awesome day of nerfing in exchange for 16 hours worth of driving.

Not looking too good on that front. The Weather Channel predicts Tom's River has a 60% chance of rain on the Thursday and Friday before the war ( can't see Saturday since it's only a 10-day forecast ).

Yeah, that's exactly why I'm worried about it raining, but who knows. It's still a while away and weather forecasters are known to be a little on the wrong side.

Alright guys, due to circumstances out of my control,(3 projects due the week after Thanksgiving) I will be unable to host this war. Instead I will partake in the amazing fun that is skipping my Thanksgiving break to study my ass off up at school.

At this point, the war is POSTPONED, until someone can take over

I have already talked to a couple people who I would trust with this task at my home field. At this point they are not definite, but if they can host, they will say so in this thread.

If they end up not being able to host, I apologize to you all. I will be holding Reckoning sometime in January, and since I'll be on break, that war will definitely happen.

Alright. This is still going to go down, same as before. LGLF will be hosting. No worries. And Phil has no excuse not to come, he lives a minute down the road. I'll be there, rain or shine (or snow), and so will he.

Due to the sad, sorry state of the LCM, and Tyler bailing on his war, the LGLF will now be hosting this event. Same basic rules. Same location. Splitlip and I will definitely be coming regardless of weather or attendance, so this thing is definitely going down regardless of who bails. You can check the LGLF Blog for more info. You can also leave a comment in the blog to add yourself to the attendance list in addition to posting it here.

Speaking of taking it easy... That remark was as tongue-in-cheek as him saying that I'm bailing on the war.

I'm doing it as a courtesy, the topic is already here, so it wouldn't hurt to keep it updated. I don't have time to spend all day at a war, but keeping one topic updated doesn't take much effort. If he was an admin, he could change it himself, but he isn't, so I'm being nice.

And it does matter who is nerfing in a park that the my clan brought into the community the better part of a decade ago. I just don't want some random nerfer, who I haven't met(and there are a few of them signed up for this war), taking over a war that I setup, and getting nerfers banned from that park. That is why I have the right to have concern over who is using the park. I wasn't outright banning people from trying to keep the war going, I just wanted to discourage those who might try, and then get in over their heads.

That being said, I have absolutely no problem with Phil taking the reins on this, he started around the same time as me and has hosted his share of wars up at Tyndall. I hope everyone who signed up makes it, I want it to be a successful war.

2 things.

I don't think I can make it to this war any longer. My current school load is just overwhelming.

Also, Gankfest is a stupid name for a nerf war. That is all.

So the game schedule for the VT vs. UVA game just came out and it is going to be played at noon. This will have a large impact on my attendance. More than likely I'll show up when Mantis does.

It sucks that Tyler can't make it due to homework. So this is an LGLF war now? I must say I object to the name. I looked at the site and saw the new LGLF membership, and you guys have had more incarnations than Fleetwood Mac (without the longevity). The more I think about it, the more I like that analogy. That makes Phil the rough equivalent of Mick Fleetwood. I won't compare someone Stevie Nicks, because that will most likely gain me another dart to the face via a brass 2k.
