Hello. I just did a cpvc barrel replacement to my SSPB. It looks great, but the bullet wont even come out of the barrel! Can someone tell me whats wrong? The cpvc I cut is loose on all my darts, but it seems tighter than normal. Thanks!

Because of the air output, CPVC might be too tight. CPVC normally isn't used for any air guns. Is the pump plugged on the SSPB?

Yeah there might be something blocking the air output from coming out of the barrel, Try re-gluing the barrels and maybe even looking for a different barrel material for your darts. Also not to flame but there Darts not bullets.

No, the pump isn't plugged. What barrel material should I use? They dont have brass in our local Lowe's, just copper. I might order some PETG though. And sorry for calling it bullets. My friends call them that, so I get mixed up.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, the barrel is kind of like the NF stock barrel. Like its... slanted.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, the barrel is kind of like the NF stock barrel. Like its... slanted. I tried a micro dart thats really small, like its pretty loose in the barrel, and it wont fire. Is that why?

I would plug the pump, and try that. If that doesn't work, PETG is a good option, as is 9/16 brass if you can find it. There may be some glue blocking the air output, which would act as an air restrictor.

First off, pump it up with no dart in the barrel. Do it really fast. Press the trigger. Do you hear a pop? (this is good meaning there is air out put). If there isn't, spray some silicone spray on the exposed rubber bladder. Sometimes when this happen to me I just blow into the barrel and it works again.

I wouldn't recommend plugging the pump because I broke mine by trying to reglue the 2 parts together.
I do agree with TantumBull because if it isn't the air output, it is the barrel material.

Oh I just remembered something else: If the barrel material is too tight, then a CPVC'd SSPB will rip stock darts. Since the air release is so fast and the CPVC grips the dart so tightly, it is easier for the air to travel through the center of the dart and make a rip at the top, than for it to push the dart out. Air takes the path of least resistance.

Does the gun hold any pressure at all? make any noise? Does it dry fire? If no to any or all of these then you royally screwed your gun. I know those things are very sensitive and break easily if you cut the barrel off wrong. Also, even though your barrel might be tight, the gun still has enough power to move the dart AT LEAST half way out the barrel. So something is wrong...

The gun completely works, makes noise, dry fires, and everything. I will change the barrel material. Thanks everyone.

I'd just like to add that i have the same problem. I carefully cut the barrel off kind of far away from the restricter, ripped the little pegs out with pliers, and glued a 3in pvc diameter material to it (my bbbb gets around 100' with taggers with that stuff). The glue is air tight, but when I twist a mega in it it just pops out an inch or so and when I keep doing this it eventually goes 10'. I then used a tagger head, it also got about 10'. When I dry fire the popping noise is so loud that it makes your ears ring, and I can see the rubber thing bulging with air. I have terrible luck with air guns...
