[Aimless]

Something I noticed about the Spartan:There appears to be some sort of area in the stock,noticed by many now, perhaps a gearbox? There also appears to be a button above the trigger that could turn the gun on? Also, it appears there is a priming handle at the top of the gun.

I also stated something similar a few posts ago. However the main problem I see with a blaster that feeds naked foam darts from magazines is that the breech would eat darts if driven too fast.

Yes, perhaps ripping apart darts insanely. In Real life if released, it could be a single shot blaster, or perhaps a semi automatic, as you said a 3 burst shot would rip up darts. The raider also looks like an interesting gun to use, as it has a pump action so there is no need to move your hand to cock the gun (Like the longshot/Recon) increasing the rate of fire. I imagine it would be wonderful for HVZ, as long as you suffered no jams.

I don't think i would even WANT it to be battery operated, due to Nerf's less than stellar track record with automatic electric guns. A three-round-burst firing Nerf gun would be sweet to tool around with, but i doesn't make a lot of sense, or sound very practical.

Raw Shrimp, the raider already has a patent pending. If that's not a sign, I'm not sure what is. Also the topic said that 6 guns were going to come out, the information might be wrong, but the patent pending is proof that one gun is going to come out, and there may be more.

Not yet it doesn't have a patent pending. I don't think they will release that other revolver, there is no way they would undercut the sales of the maverick.

The raider, definitely, I don't think there's any question about that, which is good, because a pump-action, clip fed gun is just what I needed. While I would love a lighter and more movement-friendly alternative to the vulcan in the spartan, I am not nearly so sure that will come to fruition, hopefully you prove me wrong.

I am also intrigued by the patent name stampede rev 12. Anything with 12 shots before a manual reload is required is worth a shot in my book (and before you mention the tommy series, try them out in tight quarters, you may be pleasantly surprised). I can't find a gun on the picture that matches the specs of a 12 shot cylinder, however.

Also, anyone else think this is quite possibly the most brilliant marketing scheme since... ever? Seriously, they're releasing a game that will probably sell pretty well, which will in turn advertise a bunch of shiny new toys for kids to play with. Essentially, your're paying $50 for a glorified ad.

Did anyone notice that the Spartan is pictured with 4 rails? You can see the extra long one on top, one on the bottom facing down, and one on the side (I can only assume that there would be one on the other side as well, like the vulcan), so it's got 1 more rail than the vulcan, most likely. They just keep putting more and more rails on these things, don't they?

Ok, just to clarify this, the topic isn't saying that 6 new are going to come out, its saying in the game there are 6 real(as in, currently in stores)nerf guns. Also, I believe the "Magstrike AS-10" is a N-strike incarnation of the MS, just like they started selling Rapid Fire AS-20's in a yellow and black N-strike color scheme(theres a picture in some topic, I can't seem to find it though.)

I'm sure we'll be seeing the Raider come out, as it is a CS-6 model.

As much as I want the Spartan NCS-12 to come out, the N on the acronym makes me doubtful. Why wouldn't they just call it the CS-12 if they were releasing it like the others?

I can't think of what the N could logically stand for.

N-Strike Acronyms
AS-X - Auto Shot X OR Air Shot
- Titan, Pocket Blaster, Hornet, Rapid-Fire and Magstrike, while the 'automatics' are the Magstrike (10) and the Rapid-Fire (20, Thanks Ubermensch) and the (in a very round about sense) Hornet (6).

CS-X - Clip Shot
- Longshot (6) and Recon(6).

REV-X - Revolution
- Maverick (6) and the Firefly (8)

Then we've got the random other acronyms, like EX on the Nitefinder, which just stands for Extra, referring to the ammo holders.

Ivan: I was wondering about the clip on the spartan too, but maybe the N designates that it comes with the NEW 12 shot clips. Just a thought, so you now have Spartan New clip System-12.

Perhaps. If Nerf releases their gun, they'll make a decent amount of money (Mil-sim people, perhaps HVZ people and the regular nerf community) and expand their product range by offering 12 shot clips for the LS and Recon.

However, the turreted Vulcan only has 8 barrels. Why would it be a REV-12 if it only has 8 barrels? And besides, why would they remake the Vulcan just to make it worse? We all know that the chances of getting that to work are like trying to make an automatic Maverick.

I'm hoping the Stampede is the Grenade Launcher-esque one, but it seems to only have 6 barrels also, unless it might fire two darts at a time? Who knows. This whole speculation thing is getting out of hand...

Crazy, I believe the grenade launcher perhaps might be the REV one, since that's the only one that appears to be revolving. The raiders bound to be popular for indoor wars, due to the 12 shots, and perhaps outdoors if it gets good modded ranges. The long rifle appears to be one of the ones that may be released in my opinion, as it is not as ridiculous as some of the other guns.

Part of the reason I think the Spartan is going to be released is that gear window in the stock. If it was just made for the game, why would the bother with the gears? Why not just make it a solid stock?

I REALLY want that long rifle to be made, it reminds me of the deer rifle from Call of Duty 4.

I think thats actually a legitament speculation and freaking awesome. I can see a lot of modification issues coming out of that though. I cant understand how to plunger would work though, would it be 6 mini plungers, move 1/6 of the way down the plunger, or go in and out. I dont know....
