I shot a squirel with my modded water gun the other day!
It nearly fell off the fence it was running so fast.


Don't worry about random people from Greenbriar at all because they're not supposed to use pvc or brass tubing. lame rule

Just heads up we ARE allowed to use modded guns...

But again, it won't be a problem due to the fact this is deemed a organized sporting event.

Haha, I see what you mean Zaxbys, about the fortifications. Well, I guess we won't completely fortify the red-white-blue, just a panel here and there to give at least some form of protection. I cannot count the number of times I've been hit by a shot through the bars. And besides, the BBBB's and converted guns can penetrate most cardboard anyways .

The cardboard thing is kinda lame don't you think? It encourages camping which doesn't make for fun rounds.

I'm sure most hi-powers can take cardboard easily. So our converts, the ZaxBlast, other armor-piercers will have no problem dealing with cardboard. It's just there to add another degree of strategy because most guns will not penetrate heavy cardboard.

I think we may set up several mini-hardpoints in addition to fortifying the red-white. One or two out front in that field and another few in the back on the soccer field. Last SENO had a little too much open space for my taste.

Camping's primarily used when the player doesn't have any high-powered guns or very little ammo; that's pretty much why I camped at the last SENO. But no more...

Just to clarify things, when I said mini-hardpoints, I meant a panel or two of cardboard, not a full-blown cardboard fort haha. I completely agree with Zax on noob camping.

I think a few minor obstacles on the soccer field would be helpful, but I don't advocate reinforcing the play structure. That only encourages the use of overpowered blasters. We nerf to have fun, and if people don't feel safe then it's not fun.

In the past SENO has had the reputation of being the loosest when it come to weapon power rules. Look at some of the old videos if you don't believe it. Lots of singled airguns, frequently used at very close range. That's not the kind of reputation I want to be a part of.

Some of the stuff used at the Summer SENO was excessive in my opinion, and I wasn't completely comfortable with it. It's not a matter of whether or not a person can take a hit, it's a matter of whether it'll stay safe if the dart separates when fired.

A lot of the fields and game type I choose here on campus tend to emphasize movement over range. It keeps people from trying to overpower their blasters and keeps the game more fun for all involved. If you start messing around with destructable obstacles you're just asking to get hurt, in my opinion.

I'm a maybe. It depends on if I have time to put together a gun to stack up against these "high powered" weapons some of you are wielding. I'm not running around with something I can't come close to hitting you with.

Alright, after taking all of the opinions into consideration, I have repealed the idea of fortifying the red-white. The cover on the fields will still be in place.

Addressing the hi-power issue: I agree that there was a big gap in gun power at summer SENO (my converted vs. a DTG for example). I will make every effort to regulate what can and cannot be used. Airguns will be heavily regulated this time around. This should even out the playing field more.
