You are using pieces 1, 2 and the AR backplate right? You need to roughen the surfaces of every place the epoxy goes and make sure there is none of the lube on it either.
This is what I do and I've not had problems like yours with the many NFs I've modded with #49 springs.

- Goop seems like a good solution
- I'm only using 1 and 2. The PVC I'm using doesn't allow me to use any more than that. It's for micros.

Trust me, goop the shit out of this thing, and maybe add some hot glue reinforcement inside. Keep in mind if you go all out with goop and hot glue, this gun is probably staying closed forever haha- No, I did not cut down my spring

A note on the gun not staying cocked: what I sometimes like to do is take a long-bladed xacto knife and cut the catch on the rod a little deeper so its sure to stay cocked.Did you cut down the spring? I've been having a problem with my DiskShot and an ACE #49 spring. Im thinking cutting it down will work, but the problem is, it wont stay cocked. I've replaces the catch spring and everything.
And yes, I'm aware of the consequences.

I always replace the catch spring with an industrial one. It prevents misfires without reducing the draw.A note on the gun not staying cocked: what I sometimes like to do is take a long-bladed xacto knife and cut the catch on the rod a little deeper so its sure to stay cocked.
