are your 64 feet ranges with an ar15 spring?

So why'd you quote that entire thing for just one line?

I'm not sure what happened the first time I did ranges, possibly the wind was messing with me, but I went out yesterday and shot some new ones to test out a clip I modded for 2" stefans and they came out rather better.

New Ranges (18 shots, 3 clips full, shot flat, 1/4" Steel 2" Stefans):

96, 96, 94, 88, 88, 85, 85, 85, 85, 84, 84, 81, 80, 79, 77, 76, 73, 73

Average Range: 84'

I'd say that's definitely better.

I got mine at home depot. Works like a charm, but I like to take the plunger out of the tube when the blaster is not in use, because if you let it sit in there is slowly starts to deform the part where the head pushes against.

Ok, I'll check out Lowes and see what they have. What section did you find yours in? Hardware or Plumbing?

You mean the washer starts to permanently bend where it presses against the outside of the tube?

'spose I never responded to this, but now that it's necro'd, I might as well. You must have just read it pretty quickly. The head deforms what it pushes against, which would be the tube, the inside, not the outside. I find them in the hardware section. Don't believe I've ever seen washers in the plumbing section.

That second bit info of course isn't really for you, since you just made the writeup for the replacement, I assume you've found them. Just for reference in case any one wants to actually search these days. We've been getting way too many "solve this problem of mine" or "give me info on.." threads lately, from both new and older members. Not only that, but the people are getting their answers, so no one really learns from it. Oh well.

P.S.
I just got my account validated and I'm extremely new to mods, do you have any tips?

Q: One question: how did you cut your 9/16th brass in half? A dremel? Looks very clean...

Hereticorp answers:
You mean the half-pipe? That's a dremel with the precision extension and a metal-cutting cut-off wheel. Very slow cuts and very careful movements, you saw I said I screwed one of the half pipes? That's how, slipped with the dremel.

I looked all over the internet I couldn't find anything on a precision extension. I have metal cut-off wheels and I have pretty steady hands, yet I still can't make straight cuts. So I was wondering where you get the precision extension or any tool that makes perfect straight cuts.

I'm pretty sure that the accessory he was referring to is a Craftsman Shaper Table very much like this

No bob, that's in fact NOT what I'm talking about and if you'll note the date that I was all excited about smoothy my handles, you'll note I wrote this post WAY before I got a router table attachment for my rotary tool.

I'm talking about the 225-01 Flex Shaft Attachment put out by Dremel.

I have a steady hand and can make straight cuts with it. Alternatively you can put it in a vice and manipulate the brass instead of the tool.

I'm sorry to break it to you kid, but you don't make the rules around here, the administrators do. One easy rule: respect each member. You probably don't know Talio, or who he really is; don't call him an idiot. He's been around here a lot longer than you and probably knows his stuff. And about the swearing, it's just a way things are done around here. It is by no means done excessively, and if it is, it is moderated by the administrators. This forum is for young adults and older, if you can't handle a little language, then don't come here; simple. If the moderators get a little harder on the new members, it's because they are trying to keep this forum from turning into every other forum out there, a total fucking mess. Sure, it leads to a lot of flames and arguments, but it keeps things effective. If you don't like it how it's done here, then leave.

P.S. A "necro" is posting something useless in an old topic that has been inactive for a long time. Though I doubt you will have that problem anymore..

Sorry Talio if you consider this backseat moderating, I just wanted to speak my mind. I understand if I have to take my 3 days.

Yeah, don't double post either. It takes up some bandwidth every time you do that for a small comment like that. If you want to argue, take it to PM. (PM is private message). The best way to put it is to think of here is that it's not Youtube where you can do what you want. We got the admins literally paying for this site from their own pockets.

It's harsh here. Don't get so riled up if someone tells you you're doing something wrong. By the by, for that modding advice, take pictures of the internals for you first mods. If you fuck anything up, you know where it needs to go, or how it's supposed to look.

Wait, do I get 3 days too?

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?
