I ask because just recently my girlfriend showed me, out of no where, a big bad bow she bought, modded, and painted. Probably the first thing in all your heads "OH MAN WHAT MODS DID SHE DO?!?!?!". Basic AR removal and "some tube I found" barrel replacement. The paintjob is pretty stellar if I say so myself, I'll try and get some pictures up eventually.

At any rate, for some reason, this boosted her attractiveness for me. Like, I suppose it's because I never knew she shared interest in my favorite hobby, never thought she'd be into it really. Now that I know she really wants to involve herself with every part of my life, especially my incredibly nerdy hobby, it makes me love her even more hahaha


So how about you guys? Would something like this boost or decrease your life of a girl?

I think that's cool. It gives you guys a thing to do in your spare time. And it gives you guys a little more in common. Girls with guns are always hot, no matter if its a 50 cal or a Nitefinder. I need to get my GF into nerf. XP

I personally think that it would increase the attraction of a woman if they had a nerf gun. I would like to see a woman (my girl friend) hold a crossbow.

My girlfriend thinks nerfing is the coolest thing ever. She even bought me a Sm500 for my birthday (certainly boosted her attractiveness)! So I'm going to go with yes on this one.
Also not to be a party pooper, but I get the feeling this is going to be a very short lived topic. Not even sure why I posted really... good idea, maybe just a little bit more NerfHQ than the mods here will stand for.

UUhhh.... Am I gonna have to be the only awkward sap here to admit they don't have a girlfriend, and think it's awkward when girls are around? I know I'm gonna get flamed for this but, I would imagine it would be weird to see someone I liked nerfing. Yeah i agree with rover too.

It matters what your opinion is before she goes into NERF. What if you switched roles. You would join HER world and impress HER with independence and knowledge.

It is the action of the person, not the end result that matters (most of the time). She acted as a part of her own free will to get more involved in your life. That is why she is more attractive to you.

Note: I'm not a shrink. I just know basic shit like this. Think outside of the situation or as if you were in her shoes.

EDIT: Damn you guys posted fast. By the way, I don't have a girlfriend.

Nope. I'm single and have the social skills of a turnip. But I think that when you do like someone, its a lot of fun if you share activities that you enjoy. If you both feel like your suffering anytime you try to do something together, that's gonna suck in the long run.

Honestly, seeing my girlfriend Nerf would scare me, because I know how scary she gets around projectile weapons (Like, scary good in a feminine rambo way) and I would probably run away from her, thus not boosting her attractiveness.

But anyway, nice. As much as the universal nerd wants a girl who competes in the same hobbies as you do, if it involves shooting, do you really wanna be the one to give her that welt? The payback would be a bitch.

I think it would boost the attractiveness of a woman. I mean, if I ever get a girlfriend that would nerf with me, it would be cool. It would give us something that we could do together, and, probably boost the chance of a long term relationship by getting to know each other better.

My girlfriend and I bonded alot during the first year Humans vs. Zombies went on at my school. She scored many a kill with my longshot and we both had a blast. I tried to buy her a few guns and have her join in at some local wars, but she's not as into actual nerfing--I think she enjoys shooting at people who don't shoot back.

Either way, I think it's awesome that she's even into HVZ. She's in grad school this year while I finish undergrad and she's trying to start up a chapter of HVZ at her school too. Pretty neat.

So I would say it doesn't boost attractiveness, but it does give a couple another hobby to bond with and have fun together doing.

I suspect the group with whom I used to nerf was the only one that had 80 members, and nearly 50% were female. The last 3 girls I dated I met at nerf wars, including my current girlfriend (whom does not have a NH account, doesn't lurk, and won't be reading this). They've always been my preferred "hunting grounds" for women; the gals enjoy the game, but are not (typically) as mechanically inclined as their male counter-parts, so conversations usually followed a nice path of them being impressed with my blaster, asking about it (fantastic conversation starter) and talking and the things went in a ...satisfactory direction, after that.


I also get a huge smile when team are being picked, and I would yell "Everyone with big ol' hooties and vaginas, you're on my team." Then they'd usually chuckle and walk toward me. (They wouldn't be running around a school building with toy blasters at 2am if they didn't have a sense of humor.) Team "Twitch's Bitches" was always my favorite during "The mole" rounds, 'cause then I was never surprised when it was a woman who had betrayed me and shot me in the back.


Edit - in short, yes, I love when there are hot girls on the field. OMC, I'm curious as to why you feel the way you do; what bad turn of events did you witness?

I have never had a girlfriend, though i did manage to get my lips on a few. But, alas I don't have a girlfriend thanks to my best friend ( thief ), I hate him now...

Sorry if i ranted,and yea i think it would make a girl hotter if she nerfed, unless she was fugly.

You know, it's not usually the girl's fault. Generally the problem lies with the guys that have to shoot her. Forget the fact that boyfriends always revert to immobile trigger shy nerfers when their women are in play; the real issue is that, as a society, we have been conditioned to protect women. Shooting a girl is generally something a guy is hesitant to do, and that screws most wars. Ever wander why girl's always outlast their teammates? No one shoots at them. If you're gonna bring your girlfriend to a nerf war, you better be prepared to shoot her. Otherwise, you both become prey.

Considering my girlfriend (wait, EX girlfriend) just turned my life into a flaming hellstorm a month ago and pushed me close to suicide more times than I can count...

My answer would be HELL FUCKING YES - As long as it's not that heartless bitch.

I've nerfed with a few girls, ranging from one who could be a fucking navy seal (she kicked our asses! it was insane!), to one who just broke her hip recently and sat in a 12 foot wooden fort trying to snlpe people, since she couldn't exactly run around. (Don't ask how a girl with a broken hip got up there... )

Nerfing with girls is awesome, although it can be somewhat awkward at times. You DON'T want to be the unfortunate soul who accidently shoots Navy-Seal-girl in the boob.
