Did seem to have a special fondness for the RF20 which he apparently spent quite a bit of time working on.

Oh yeah, there's something to write home to mom about.

I agree. If hasbro did make their guns stronger, they would be sued. the entire box could be covered with warnings, and they could STILL lose a case. I live on the east coast. if you want to talk about retarted cases of sueing, listen to this: one woman sued McDonald's for 1 mil because her kid got fat.

Obviously the most effective method would be a nuclear explosion propelling the dart. All you need is some uranium or plutonium, which is easily accessible.

I figure that the guy who designs the gun shows everyone the product at its pinnacle. Awesome paintjob, (or possibly just uncolored plastic...) no air restrictors or safety features. They want to 'sell' the gun to the manufacturer, right? You'd want it to be impressive. I can imagine the Maverick must have made a big splash when it was presented.

Then Nerf inserts safety features to tone it down, then gives it a nice cheerful primary-color paint job. Bleah!

I also would like to remind you guys that they are just trying to sell something, and if you had to integrate trick photography into your commercials to sell your product, chances are you wouldn't hesitate when it came down to doing so.

Wow, haven't seen you around for a while.

But I am in with you on this one Evil. I don't think they would make much of a profit, or expect one after all, if they think that their comercials will get the customer to buy it, which is working, then they wouldn't invest in 'special' effects. They probably just show the kids holding it and shooting it as they are told to by acting like it is fun and all. Then they go in and shoot the enemy from 5 feet away.

That's my thoughts in it at least. They always show the gun being fired, and split second later, the target, which is hit. You also need to think of the ways people that make comercials were tought to make them. They learned stuff like how to make targeted object appear further than normal. Such as making the target and background smaller, to appear more distant to the human eye. These people are trained comercial pros. They don't make the guns. Please keep that in mind too.

Hasbro most likely uses a comercial group. My guess would be to give the comercial experts a 'thesis' or main idea of the situation, and work with it. For instance, they are told that they are filming kids with foam guns shooting something 50 feet away. The Nerf people would then critique it and decide if a new comercial is needed. That is all Nerf does. The comercial experts do the rest while Nerf supplies them.

So many ways to 'jip' the people of this world. And so many people are getting how to do it. But I'm not complaining about Nerf. I love it. So just Nerf. Like it or not. Don't watch the comercial for real advise to how far it shoots. Just look at it in a store and try it out if you want. You can always put it in the packaging and return it. I did it with the TTG. And if they ask what is wrong with it, just say you didn't like it. Those stuck-up people though had me diminstrate it working properly first though.

That's like saying I sued Playboy for getting carpeltunnel )sp?). Lol...don't we just LOVE ignorant people?

LastManAlive, you do realize Evil made that point almost 3 years ago? Right?

Which brings up the greater point of why was this topic brought back from the dead?

Isn't it somekind of persuasive technique used to make people want to buy your product to make money?
