Ok, I was doing maintenance with my NF, and I remember seeing how a member made a mod that showed how to reinforce where the plunger head meets the plunger rod. he used a long screw and a hex nut, I think, to help it hold better. Does anyone know the size it was? or where the thread is? I'll try to get a paint pic up to help explain.

EDIT: Also, I got "Plumbers" goop, but it says Household Hogar instead of Plumbers. Is this fine? It's from Amazing Goop.

I don't think I can help with the plunger rod reinforcement, but check the back of the goop tube.

The first time I bought goop, it was the household goop instead of plumbers goop and I seem to remember petroleum being one of the ingredients.

Never use anything petroleum based; FA_24 discovered that petroleum is extremely bad for your internals. That is, the gun's internals.

It said to spread some petroleum jelly around the threads on the tube itself so it will be easier to remove later on.

Take the screw connecting the head to the rod. Leave the head on, and get a drill bit the same size as a number 8 bolt. Drill through the existing hole until you go all the way through. Then put a 1" #8 bolt with a washer where the original screw went, and tighten it all the way.

Done!

With a little of searching. As for the Household goop here is a link to the website. Says it works on rubber.

Eh, thanks anyway. I got it figured out. I went to Lowes and bought a 4-40(I think) bolt and nut set.
