That would be awesome if you could do that for us. I really would like to see this new gun.I could put 'em up on FF. We don't get many hits any more, and the bandwidth resests daily.

a) Rag's site's bandwidth resets
or
b) The pics are hosted by another site.
Either way, you're gonna have to wait a little.

The bandwidth, which seems to have been exceeded, is reset on a monthly basis. It's January 2nd. I don't want to wait a whole frickin' month for this. Whoever is in posession of the pic...email it to me, give it to me over AIM, something - so we can find a suitable host for it. I'm sure Cxwq would be happy to host it, eh?

Anyway here are my humble observations on the gun. The pull handle (cocking ring) is horizontal like a split ring mod on a LNL. I find this configuration to be more comfortable than the vertical hole and it looks like an engineering nod to all the modders out there.
Anyway after getting through the 13 or so screws (the two that are on the ammo holder are longer, all other external screws are the same) I popped open the case to find that most of the parts are screwed down. This is great as it drastically cuts down on flying parts, yet more proof that modification is in mind in design. The spring as has been mentioned is beefy and shouldn't need replacing.
The air restriction device is pretty neat but I promptly destroyed it in search of more power. Instead of letting air pass straight through it is made to pas around an obstacle that has vents on the side of it. These vents are closed when ammo is not installed, you can still fire but minimal air goes out. What I would like to know is that if these vents are open will they continue to stay open until all air is evacuated from the plunger tube or do the vents close as soon as dart leaves the vent release catches?
Having the air flow through the valves does allow for a very quiet gun. If this is desirable one could easily glue down one of the dart catches to keep the vents open. I carved holes in the air restrictor and removed the ammo post but I didn't gain anything from it aside from making it louder. I was without most of my tools at the time or I would have done something else. I have a feeling that the air restrictor is letting some of the air go around to the vents which is not desirable or getting caught in the chamber that I created when I carved the holes.
Anyway I like the feel of the gun, it’s compact and that can be drastically improved by removing the ammo holder and the light. The light itself is pretty neat and pretty accurate, I'd like to continue modding it and improve the accuracy but we'll see what happens.

Groove, I'll email you a few pics, because you obviously have a problem with your under-doos.
EDIT: Erm...what's your email addy?

Damn straight I have a problem with my under-doos. I didn't get any for Christmas. Do you know how comfortable jeans are when you go commando for 3 weeks? Yeah. It's like sand paper, mother fucker.Okay, the bandwidth resets on the 11th, but I gave cxwq the pics and the mod. Dunno what he'll do with it, but if you guys just hold onto your panties until either he sticks them up, or my bandwidth resets (which will have a gig afterwards).

Thanks for the hosting, c. The only thing more comfortable is the Crossbow, and not by too much. It finally outperformed my Lock'n'Load, mostly due to the fact that I started using hunting shot (slingshot ammo). Get some, the stuff is ungodly. And, grab a Nite Finder. Good Nerfing, and good night.
EDIT: Cool, rawray7's Xbow mod is back. Linkage-with-my-modage!

Edit: SB, you might have caught the page in the middle of my picture optimizing. I resized them and adjusted the levels and re-uploaded them but the sizes in the HTML were still set to the old pictures. Fixed now.
