I think there is going to be an increase in Nerf related crime such as RF20 drive-by's and people getting sniped in their back yard by a singled Titan. This google map could be very useful.

I feel safe. I don't live near any other nerfers except futureseal. And he doesn't have a singled titan or a rf20 but he does have a big blast......crap i better go get my PASG.

This isn't tough, guys. If you get a point on a map, it means your location works. If the map doesn't display your location, your location doesn't work.

Some version of the big map with all the points on it will be up this weekend. I'll try and geocode the whole nerfhaven user database somewhere in there as well, but I can't make any promises.

I was one of the "No Information" guys but I was only getting validated so I couldn't access the area to put in my town and state, but I a member now and fixed it.

I'm not finished yet. If you're not on the map, it's because you either registered after the last time I geocoded the database (this will become and automated process soon) or your info was not compatible with with google maps. Also take a look at Portugal and note what happens when you put vague info in your location on your profile.

So I fixed up the verification page so that it won't accept "No Information", the geocoding happens automatically when you sign up, so you don't have to wait for your point on the map to update, and I'm almost done with the final version of the map, which will include a text list of nerfers organized by country and state/province. To recap:

Follow the instructions here to get on the map
Go here to check out a rough draft of the map
See a list of Nerfers who have already signed up(now displays members more-or-less in the order that they sign up)

Here is a list of nerfers ordered by Country, State, and which website they are members of. It updates automatically when you sign up for the map. However, that stuff at the top about clicking the heading to order the list is bullshit. That feature doesn't work yet.

How about 2 guns crossing? I could do it, but I'm not sure what type of file it has to be, or if it has to be done in some specific software. I have photoshop, let me know.

Vishamon found the real site, which is being graded as the final project for the last course I have to complete before I graduate. So I'm not announcing it here for a while because I don't want you guys to kill my bandwidth before I get the grade. What you guys are seeing is a low-fi version of the main features of my new site. I'll be announcing the whole thing soon, but I still have quite a bit of work to do. Rest assured, it will kick ass mightily.

The icons are in GIF or PNG format because there needs to be some level of transparency, unless you want perfectly rectangular icons. Also, the shadow is a separate image.
