[Shadowblade]

First things first, thank you to everyone who came out for SENO. This was the first large war I've helped organize/host and I'm glad it was successful. Thank you to Zaxbys as well for he part as well. Hopefully we will see some of you again for a possible fall SENO. Now, for my opinions...

Pros
- Great turn out from the area Haven members.
- Meeting Groove and several other members in person.
- Seeing different guns in action.
- Pizza
- Cmdrmack's awesome kilt.
- Scoring two headshots off of Groove, haha.
- Having everyone run away screaming "oh shit" when Groove rushed us.
- Awesome humans vs. zombies rounds
- Good variety of match types
- Having lots of fun.

Cons
- Heat
- which was followed by an unexpected rainstorm
- Running low on ammo (I'll need to more next time haha)
- Being on the receiving end of a BBBB
- Not finishing the gunslinger round due to the rain, but we shall settle it next time...

Again, thank you to everyone who made SENO possible and thank you to those who participated. Hope to see you guys at the next war. Who knows, it may be the next SENO...

I am sore and sunburned and tired. Today was a lot of fun. I think it was probably the best nerfing experience I've had.

Pros:

The Humans vs. Zombies rounds
The surprise rainstorm at the end
Winning the first VIP round for the assassins so quickly
My Maxshot performing well
My next-to-stock ERTL rapid fire shotgun working so well in the zombie rounds
Pizza break
Meeting some really cool new people

Cons:

Hot like a motherfucker
Cover was a little sparse, I prefer a less open field
My crossbow falling apart.
Slow rounds, too hot to run

Again I would like to thank all that participated, and shadow for his help in organizing this war. I would also like to thank everyone who came from out of town for coming.

Highlights

~ Having Groove say "You want to use my gun" at the end of the FFA round. As well as feeling "dirty" after using it.... Don't worry man the sticky will come off with some rubbing alcohol
~ Constantly hearing about my Big Blast....
~ Cmdrmack's kilt
~ Pizza Break
~ Seeing southern nerfers come together for a good time
~ "Sorry I just " can't shoot you sitting in the shade like that"
~ Going crazy the last FFA

Cons

~ HOT!
~ It ended
~ Me falling because of the stupid pole while Cmdrmack was chasing me.

This was the best war I have ever been a part of. I hope we can make this a tradition and move steadily towards our goal of reestablishing southern Nerf

This was my first l;arge-Scale nerf war and I plan on attending almost all SENO's. I got some great pictures and I will edit them in tomorrow. If you beg me, I will compile them into an Effeminate slideshow, it will be Effeminate!


Pros:

-Meeting Groove and being able to see his Guru.
-Scoring a hit on Groove.
-Pizza
-Testing out my homemade.
-(I'm stealing this from Carbon) Putting the faces to the names.
-Awesome HvZ!
-Running around the school at least 5 times with B-Man trying to eliminate Zaxbys.
-Seeing/ Holding a crossbow in real life for he first time.

Cons:

-Heat
-Having my DTB's fail.
-Being hit at ten feet with a Big Blast
-Losing our VIP in less than 5 minutes, (I have to admit, Effeminate fail on our part. )
-Finding out I was allergic to the grass I ran through all day.
-Seeing too much when Cmdrmack dove on the ground in his kilt.
-Being rained out in gunslingers. (SirTofu and Groove, we could have taken them all!)

I almost forgot, it was hilarious when everyone starting screaming "oh shit oh shit" when Groove rushed us with his xbow...I still get a laugh out of that...

Well, that was certainly an awesome war yesterday. That's the furthest South I've gone for a Nerf war and I was pleasantly surprised at how well it went. My only complaints are the travel distance and heat, both of which were out of my control, but that's the risk I take when deciding I wanted to drive to and from Georgia in one day.


Highlights:
+Being greeted by a round of applause when I opened my car door upon arrival
+Getting to meet in person and Nerf with a lot of new people from the boards
+Forcefully reminding people that I have 2 more shots after I shoot my Xbow
+Playing the shortest VIP round in the history of the universe VIA Cmdrmack
+Shadow scoring two headshots on me (incidentally, you should really invest in a reliable sidearm. )
+Single-handedly pushing back an entire team during both rounds of CTF
+Being called "the Chuck Norris of Nerf" by a parent standing nearby
+Listening to people on the opposing team whine when I got picked in fear of getting shot
+The priceless look on Zaxbys face when I asked if he wanted to use my gun to finish the round
+Cmdrmack's kilt inadvertently flashing the large group of zombies that rushed him when he fell


The weather was harsh, but you can't argue with the fun that was had. There came a point where the heat just dominated everyone, and that's when you could tell I started doing so shitty (first headshot). This level of heat had not been seen since Armageddon 2006, when my hot glue melted off my Guru, and darts became mushy and began to fall apart. Luckily it didn't happen yesterday, but it was damn close. The Gunslinger round was pretty Effeminate, and it's a shame we didn't get a chance to finish it. I would've liked to finish it and have an Effeminate final showdown in the pouring down rain and thunderstorm to make it an ultra-dramatic Hollywood style scene but it was past our cutoff time anyways. We'll finish it next time.

I drove 7 & 1/2 hours through 3 states, battled through the rain and brutal, oppressive, and unforgiving sun; punched an elderly woman in the face and devoured a small child all while at SENO. So, I ask you: what did you do with your day, yesterday?

So in this war:

- I found that a few of my guns were not working and I left all my mini bungees at home, (AT2k had one bottom of the barrel filled with hot glue, one AT3k just shat on me which it usually does.)
- Nerfed in probably the hottest environment, which made centerflag really damn slow. And also meant time from round to round took a while.
- I discovered just how much of everybody singling out one person (Groove) in a war can make shit get ridiculous such as in the FFA round.
- Met some new blood.
In the end, it was a pretty good war. I just wish we did more team rounds, and was not so hot on HvZ.
Having not nerfed in a hella long time, I missed a lot of my shots and were not used to some of my guns. Hope we do something again sometime. Also, only during breaks (summer, winter, Etc.) I am in GA, and maybe sometime I can host a war here in Decatur again.

Oh yeah, my guns I think were crapping out because of the intense heat. The heat could cause foam to expand couldn't it? Because the darts that were made of my normal foam were fitting tighter in barrels then they should have been, meaning that my at3ks were not performing well.

At the hotel I satyed in the night before SENO, I kept the darts in the fridge all night so they shrank. I did this so when they expanded in the heat, they expanded to normal size.

When we were playing FFA and everybody kept surrounding Me, Groove, and A side of nerf. Then Groove finally just yells "you're all banned!"

Shooting everyone in an illegal driveby with my Magstrike and Dead Man With Pellet Gun
Meeting Groove, Cmdr Mack, SirTofu, and A Side of Nerf
Meeting Guru the hard way
Camping like my life depended on it
Oh... and did I mention screaming "Oh, SHIT!!!" when Groove rushed us?
Great rounds of zombie killing, and squad tactics

Cons

Heat
That damn thunderstorm
That it only lasted 6 hours

Other than that, everything was amazing.
I can't wait to see everybody at Fall SENO.

--I wasn't there.

I really wish I could have gone. But then again, I would have gotten my butt kicked BIG TIME, so maybe it was a good thing that I was 2,000 miles away. While I was gone, I did go nerf shopping. So I'll be needing a good friend or two to hook me up with some mods.

PS: ian, went to petsmart today and saw the fishies. hahaha do you still have arthur dent?
