Well I lost like 5 of my stream line darts so I had a few Buzz Bee darts lying around so I made them into stream lines.

For me they get about 1/3 less than a regular steamline's distance.

Materials Needed:
1. A dart about the length of a Streamline
2. Hot glue gun with glue
3. .20 gram BB
4. An object that can cut things
5. A glass of cold water
6. Your tongue :D or an ice cube

Posted Image

Step 1 : Aquire a dart about the length of a stream line. (So it fits in the clip well.)

Step 2 : Carefully take off the suctoin cup head any cut the rubber peg off of the bottom.

Step 3 : Stuff it in the foam and but make sure its not in too deep or not in enough to fit a bb.

Step 4 : Drop the bb in there.

Step 5 : Put a dollop of hot glue on there.

Step 6 : Dip it in the cold water.

Step 7 : And flatten it with your tongue or an ice cube...

(Optionnal Step:: ) Step 8 : Put a straw in the back of it the strengthen the dart.

So, you're essentially making a stefan, like the converted taggers? The only problem I see is that buzz bee ammo is a bit shorter than nerf ammo, so it will no go as far into the breech of your longshot/recon. So then, less of the dart is in the barrel and range would be less than a streamline.

Spyder: It wouldn't hurt because the saliva acts as a coolant, hardening the glue before it burns you. When I make stefans, I dip my fingers in water, and then flatten the glue.

Holy Un-Sandwich!!! Wouldn't that make it hurt more even though its cool? Because if you slap yourself then put water on it then slap yourself again, it hurts more. I learned in science...

I think someone once said hot glue (or, at least, the cheap stuff) is mildly poisonous/bad for your health.

Now, normally, I wouldn't be concerned. But, licking it? That I am concerned about. I would recommend not doing it anymore.

Edit: I don't feel like wasting a post to reply to Squilt, so...

Same difference.

Edit 2: Oh, and I'm sigging that for a few days.

Licking hot glue is not a safe behavior. A lot of adhesives are toxic, and many materials at high enough temperature to be extruded give off toxic fumes. You may not think of it this way, but when you lick something, you are ingesting something. If you don;t believe me, people having heart attacks are given nitroglycerin tablets that dissolve and are under their tongues. You are absorbing some of what is in the glue. It may have adverse side effects. The finger and water technique is much safer.

Isn't this just like a CDTD? Or at least this is the exact way I make mine.

ultra920 is right. Airsoft bb's weigh .20 grams not 20 grams.

Essentially, it'd the standard Converted stock dart, but that's not a problem. I personally prefer to plug up the hole behind the weight with hot glue, as does the majority of the community, but do whatever works for you! You were creative, and that's what counts.

On the licking thing...again, do whatever works for you. I personally prefer to lick my finger and THEN smooth the dart out with said finger. I think you'll have more control that way, since you can see what you're doing. But if licking your darts is your game, you keep right on doing it!
