Today was awesome. Absolutely awesome.
I had more fun today than I've had in a LONG time nerfing. Today was intense, fast paced, but above all, just plain fun. It was great to meet a TON of new faces, from all over So Cal as well as Captain Slug via his cross-country trek.
I don't think a single person left without a smile on their face (okay, so most of us looked tired, but we were smiling on the inside).
Thank you all for coming and helping make this year's Armageddon an event worth remembering. Perhaps next year Spoon and Cxwq will be more informed/less lazy/whatever their reasons are and be able to make it, as well as have some additional travelers, whether it be from our friends on the far coast, or elsewhere.
I know there were a crapload of pictures taken today, and there was some footage taken as well, so please feel free to either link us to a photobucket album or something, or (if you're willing to take the time) go ahead and post your photos here as well. Highlights from the day, etc...anything.
See you all next year!

Just one question about that quote (this is mainly to Falcon) are Cxwq and Spoon the "main auto's" you talked about? (I regret forgetting my wildfire)
Yeah, i'm the one that took some pictures and some video, the video maybe will be posted, because i'm sending them to Baghead to edit (I am really bad at editing) I may post "RAW" video, uncut and unedited (if that's what you usually post here) but i'm posting some pictures (that aren't that good because i'm a horrible photographer and horrible videographer

For all of you that didn't go to 'geddon...and since it was my first time here I thought it was really fun! Although there were a few things that were strange to me (although they didn't seem strange to you) One of which was at our first area (where 1 & 1/2 wars were held) during the start of the 2nd war (right phrase?) a pool moniter (person, cleaner?) gave us 30 sec. to leave campus because had weapons on campus, the cops came, and I heard that it was the same cops at a previous nerf war...interesting. Then we went to the second area and we just went in without permission (or that's what I think we did) but I was reassured by Falcon (and various other nerfers) that they nerf there alot and are permitted to use it at will...so yeah, the rest of it was GREAT!!!
I bet you all are dieing (spelling) to see some pictures, well (I warned you) here they are (they aren't specificly [spelling] of "people" they are just of the areas that we were at.
Oh and I only took three pictures of the first area, and no video, while I took alot more in the second area and a lot of video clips (although they were when most people left and hardly anyone was there...ok maybe there were more than I thought there were)
The three pictures of the first area's staging area:

And the rest are of the other area (at the end of the day):

I'll switch to a different recap format
Pro's
-Seeing the look on Slug's face as we skipped-rush towards him
-Meeting new people
-Plenty of pwnage with my 1500, and not to many darts lost
-Winning every team deathmatch that we played
-Not getting shot by Tony
Con's
-Heat + humidity = tons of tired nerfers
-No group picture
-Bunch of people not showing up
-Not playing CTF
Soccerdog should have some great pictures of the Pistol rounds.

Not having any of my guns break or go weird in transit:

Bringing more than enough darts:

Headshot on bags:

Headshot on Falcon:

Not getting sunburned:

Getting in a crapload of successful dodges all day:

Deservedly getting to yell WHAMMY! at the top of my lungs:

Only getting taken out of any of the rounds because I was too tired to run away anymore or had to leave:

Failures
Stupid pool guy calling the cops over "PLASTIC WEAPONS"
So-and-so calling the darts "bullets"
Having to fly through Dallas Fort Worth
Realizing how whiny some Californians are. Nobody cares if you have to drive "a whole hour" to get to a big war. Especially not the guy that traveled 2,900 miles to attend the one you're whining is "too far of a drive". Suck it up.

O.K. I know it's been a whole week, but I finally found the time to put the video's up on youtube. I present to you, 2 of the Spring pistol rounds. The account I use on youtube is a shared account (but I did make the other 3 videos). It is 15 minutes of footage in 2 seperate video's (I posted the 15 minute video twice and the people at youtube didn't let me post it because the length of the video was too long).

Once you edit this down into something more than just the raw footage I'll add it to the directory. Looks like y'all had a great time though.

If by editing you mean, "taking out all the boring crud, leaving the shooting/running parts, and adding music," then I guess I edited it...although I shortened it to about 3 minutes (compared to 15) and cut off the music, hey...this is my first "real" edit...hopefully it's good...anyways:Once you edit this down into something more than just the raw footage I'll add it to the directory. hey is all your footage from that "last round of the day" ?
Speaking of that
Highlight: getting to essentially to say this over the phone: "no, I didn't just miss the last two hours of 'geddon waiting to drop of slug, only to come back and have it be over, this day doesn't end until I get back"
Don't call it a comeback, I never left.
