Hey,
I just got a BBB for my B-day, It will cock most of the time, BUT occasionally it won't cock. I pull back the "cocking half" and it doesn't stay. It just moves back foreward. Does anyone know any thing that I can do to fix it. Also, does anyone know some basic mods for it.
Thanks!

My guess is that when you opened it up, you lost the springs on the orange pieces that keep the gun cocked. Maybe you just have 1. I also lost the springs and I think it cocked once, but most of the time it didn't. My gun has springs from the Maverick's air restrictors, and it works perfectly. They're really weak springs though, so probably any air restrictor spring would work.

If you didn't open it ever... then I'm not sure.

First off: show us some pictures so we can help to diagnose the problem.

If you haven't opened it yet and it only cocks half the time then it is defective and you should return it and get a new one.
If you have opened it then check to see if your catch spring is there, it may also just be misaligned. If your catch spring is missing you can scrap a spring from a clicky pen that fits well, try and add several if possible.

When speaking about a swallow, always make sure you know whether it is an African or European swallow. It is very important.

Blasphemy, do you even have a bbb? If you did, you would know that the "catch" is actualy two pegs with a ar spring diameter spring.

So I guess that means that the fumes give your house an erection or something?

Once in a while, I pull it out from under my bed, hug it, pet it, admire it, and then slide it back underneath the bed.

Yes, as a matter of fact I do have a BBB. It sounded an awful lot like for a second there you thought you magically knew from my remark that I didn't have one, but alas, I do. And with adequate searching you could find clicky pen springs that would fit on there. The reason I'm recommending those rather than an air restrictor spring is because air restrictor springs are typically extremely weak and flimsy. It would be difficult to find an AR spring that would suffice for the job of catching the plunger rod with the stock spring in it, with a spring replacement I would think you could practically forget about it.

That would be 1 giant pen... well so long as you didn't replace the main spring, I think AR springs would work for catching because the gun's original catch springs are pretty weak. I have Maverick AR springs in there and it works 100% fine.

Cut down the stock barrel to around 1-2 inches, sand it down, and stick some CPVC in there. Around 2-3 inches will do. Then, you Loctite (super glue) then after it dries, hot glue. Epoxy and Goop will work fine though. After that, you have a stub that can accept CPVC couplers.

You can just open up the front part of the gun and drill the hole in the air restrictor. DON'T take out the white air restrictor you just cut. Then, add another O-ring or Electrical tape under the oring, and try a spring replacement. PM me if you need help on that.
