After dying a little on the inside I decided we all needed to forget about that thread, so I pose this question to you: Why did you choose the username that you did? I'll get the ball rolling.

I chose the username "penguin807" in honour of my friend. He made a custom map on warcraft 3 with penguin robots, and for some reason thought that all robots should speak "l337". Robot in "l337" is 'r0807'. Penguinr0807 dosn't exactly roll off the tounge if you don't know that it says robot, So I made Penguin807. Although, I still pronounce it 'penguin eight oh seven' for some reason.

Some say it's stupid, others say it's funny, personally I don't care what other people think about it. The legend of Cory's penguin robot map shall live on for ever!

I made Qui'lan up cause I needed a name for my video games, forums, etc. and it sounded cool. Fett is from the Star Wars bounty hunters Cassus, Boba, and Jango.

PS. If anyone was wondering, it is pronounced Kwee Laan Fett

Prometheus - for my wisdom (in reality, not on the forums) and for causing controversy (again, in real-life only).

Dubbed by Talio for my first war participation (as a joke), while it doesn't make sense to me today, not too many of you can say that, now can you!

My name came from what my Dad calls me "Axel," an anagram of my name. But since that name was basically always taken on forums and other websites, I added the "ion_burnout" because I was interested in chemistry at the time, and my favorite game (at that time) was Burnout 3. And since my email is the same thing I just stick with Axelion_burnout on almost every website I register for.

By the way its pronounced "axe-el-ion." But its easier to call me Axel.

Now, this goes back, to around 1867. Not really, but it makes me older than everyone for a post. Back in those days I was a young lad, I used to play Runescape back then. I wanted something involved with death (killing rules) but I wanted to carry on the family tradition of being really weird. So after thinking through some strange names, I thought I would go with Deaddumpster because it almost rolls off of the tongue. After, I just said "Hell why don't I use this name everywhere?". So I did.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. A good nerf gun is like a good woman. It shouldn't require extra lubrication.

I came up with my name because, I like Nitefinders and I have three, and they perform VERY well. Also, 37 has been my favorite number for eternity. I don't know why, but I think my name sounds noobish and I want to change it.

I picked my name because I luffs da springers. You know... spring guns. I really DON'T like air-powered guns either. Of course their are exceptions to that such as the supermaxx line and the titan. I also did it because it's sweet, simple, and to-the-point.

It's catchier than Admiral Gastropod.
I've been using this pseudonym for over 13 years and I don't feel like explaining it in any detail because it's not a terribly interesting story.

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?

It is a shortened version of my last name. The originality is lacking due to nickname being dubbed somewhere along the line when I started playing sports in middle school. Everyone knows how original jocks can be. Anyway, it stuck throughout high school and even into college. My college baseball coach heard my teammates using it when he was scouting me and so it continued on from there.

I started using this name about six years ago when I was registering for a songwriter’s forum. I was trying to settle on something that went along with what I was writing at the time…but my style was all over the map. Being a recovering biology major, I had the thought “carbon is the basis of all life” pop into my head. So, Carbon represents my interests, which can be somewhat diverse….but all stem from the same place.

I dubbed myself "yourface", because it is still a classic comeback in my eyes, even though it's overused. I was almost "yourmom", but it sounds too ten-year-old-ish.

I've also used Zaphod-dontpanic

Alice came to the fork in the road.
"Which road do I take?" she asked.
"Where do you want to go?" responded the Cheshire cat.
"I don't know," Alice answered.
"Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."

Hmm, I think it all started about 4-5 years ago, in a game called Ragnarok Online (RO)
I had all my characters named after a skill of their class.
My crusader character was my most used, and his name was Shield Boomerang.
So for short, my guildies called me boomie (the girls thought it was cute)... they could have gone with Shield which was what I wanted... but there were already 20+ different players with shield in their names...
I eventually just accepted it, but put a spin in "boomie" and spelled it in "1337".
And so b00m13 was born~

Dude you wouldn't happen to listen to Preston and Steve would you? Any way... I chose mine because I love sharpie markers and had a nerf gun near me when I registered. I was gonna use 666 but ran out of room.
And for anyone else who listens to Preston and Steve... Whee look what I can do!
