Point of the Game
To be the last team standing by killing all other teams
Field
The playing field needs to have clearly marked boundaries. A soccer field or baseball field will do nicely for 12+ people. If you have less, then break it down smaller.
Teams
Teams are composed of two people. Team members don't have to work together, but its in their own best interest. When forming teams, make sure that mediocre players are paired with mediocre players, and experts are paired with newbs. If there is an odd number of players, the best player should be left without a teammate. You cannot kill your teammate ("accidental" hits don't count)
Starting
To start the game, players need to divide into teams of 2. Spread evenly about the field. Someone should be designated to shout "GO." When the game starts, anyone can shoot anyone.
Play
If you are hit, you must leave the arena, and stand outside the playing field immediately. Once the person who got you out is hit, you are back in. If you are alive, you must stay on the field.
Example of hits system
I hit Alex. Alex is out. Jeff hits me. I am out. Alex is in. (Try it with three coins and a piece of paper if you still don't get it.)
Disputes
If two players hit each other at the same time, they are both considered in. (They are out, and then instantly in, which means everyone they hit is back in). If someone fires a shot after they have been hit, that shot does not count for a hit.
We play dodgeball a lot at our wars. It works best in a flat field like a football or soccer field instead of a place with too much cover, to make the game move faster. Sometimes the rounds last a long time, but you're always in and out so you never really have to sit out for too long.

One of my personal favorites is siege. Pretty self explanatory.

Pistols only. Teams optional. If you catch the dart fired at you, the opposing player must take the hit. It'd be a bit more interesting even if it stretches the idea of a "war". Fred and I recently did this just for fun, but still counted the hits on ourselves.
I think it would just add a far more amusing aspect to the game, making it so that dodging or catching is almost as respectable.
Oh... and siege does rock.

So to do this with pistols, and "catching"...I like it. Adds a new twist to close quarters conflict.
Except that guys with SSIIs, SplitFires, and Secret Shots may have a slight advantage in the extra shot. But still fun.

Hey! 3m and DW invented that! Only our was much cooler.SWAT- One team is SWAT, others are terrorists. SWAT has to infiltrate the building in question from the outside, and try to sneak up on the terrorist team. The terrorists can set booby traps (usually well-hidden wires attached to party poppers, which cause an instant kill. SWAT has special items like flash bangs which can cause temporary inaction from a target if well placed. Terrorists can commit suicide attacks (such as exploding a party popper next to a SWAT), and if all SWAT are killed by suicide attacks, terrorists are still considered the victors. It gets more complicated, and it's definitely my favorite of all our games.
Terros in Pavilion, SAWT on outaside. Terros must stay inside. Terros have 3 hits each, and SWAT has 5. If a SWAT is hit, they must tag a tree to come back in.

Forever War
Everyone starts alone. When someone dies, they go to a pre-determined rally point. When two people are dead and at the rally point, they become a team and re-join the game. When one member of a team is killed, he looses all past alliances; it's perfectly fair for him to kill his old teammate when he re-joins the game. The game continues untill everyone wants to stop.
