See you there!
--------------------------------
We got rained out last weekend for our January YANO. With Bags' birthday bash/war/cage match coming up, we're squared away for the time being.
But February! Ah, February!
We've come in contact with a few ghosts recently. Bags became acquainted with someone who used to nerf with Hubbard (attended Geddon '05...long blond hair at the time. Look through the gallery and you'll see him.) Said persona is wanting to get playing again, and will be doing so. Said persona is still in contact with both Hubbard and Spoon. Through said contact, Bags and I have been slowly working on getting the three of them all at least somewhat active again. That may very well happen quite soon (perhaps at Bags' b-day throwdown).
Oh, but there's more!
So cal has a new war location.
No, ANOTHER new one.
Erm...make that three. All within a very close proximity of each other. Like, across the street, and then down the street for another.
In an attempt to possibly get our dearly beloved Administrator Cxwq...erm, I mean, "Kevin"...Bags and I went on an Effeminate quest for new locations. How would that change things, you ask?
Ladies, I'd like to present for your viewing pleasure:
Walnut High School
400 Pierre Rd
Walnut, CA
Photos will be put up shortly.
The school is massive. It can be divided in a virtually innumerable number of ways for countless game types, including standard elimination, standard field CTF, as well as a number of new scenario-based game styles Bags and I have recently been working on. The cover is varied from light with plenty of running space clear through heavy terrain, including staircases to second story classrooms with long running balconies with clear views of the spaces below.
Across the street is Walnut Middle School, which is also an excellent large facility with similar capacity for variety. The last location is down the street and around the corner, at Snow Creek Park, a location which very easily lends itself to scenario and siege play. There is also a park adjacent to Walnut Middle School which we may play in as well.
We need to set a date as soon as we can, so that we can, by means of the middleman, get information to our long-lost compatriots as we attempt to breathe some life back into Southern California nerf. Doesn't matter if you're new, you've been playing regularly, or you haven't seen us in two years. Now's as good a time as any to get off your lazy surf hippie behind, and come shoot some people. We need to have some serious fun, but it's only fun if the right people are there. YOU are the right people. So get off your hiny and shoot someone.
Start throwing dates, and I'll update this asap!
