Rainbow pistol I started about 3 months ago and just stopped working on it. Decided it was time to finish it up. The whole thing without a barrel is 10" long and has 2" of draw. I need to put a skirt in this because it has a pretty crappy seal with the rubber washers I am currently using.

Nice to see another WNTS out there.
I got a proof of concept blaster I guess. I wanted to attempt to make a rainbowpup but the writeup isn't out yet so I made it my own way. It isn't the neatest blaster but it wasn't supposed to be. It was just to see if I could make one functional. I still need to buy the parts from Mcmaster for Ryan's omnidirectional catch and a skirt seal. Other than that I just need to tweak a few things here and there.

Has anyone tried these McMaster felt tips for slug darts and if so are they good cause they are sure cheap. The part number for it is 8771K22 and it is only $5.87 for a pack of 500. It these aren't good where can I buy felt tips in bulk?

Okay so I got my stampede and it was what I expected out of the box. Then I decided to do an air restrictor removal and it was horrendously inaccurate. So I tried all of the other things to make streamlines more accurate but none of them worked. So I tried something a little different. I cut it off just below where the hole is like some people do and then I trimmed it so that those little flaps or whatever you want to call them were even with the outer rim. then I filled the space with hot glue but instead of leaving it a dome I wiped it on a piece of paper so the glue filled the center area and was flat not rounded. To my surprise it worked and improved the accuracy with the darts in my stampede and also in my modded crossfires and other guns.

There must be a huge variation because, like I said, I went to each store and took a variety of darts with me, and none of them fit well enough to use. 1/2" Sch. 80 PVC is way too big, and 1/2" CPVC is way too small (i.e. can't even force the dart all the way in)

So far the only success I've had with CPVC is by reaming it out with a 1/2" spade bit. Pain in the ass but at least it sort of works then.

Yes, plumbing varies.
But foam varies even more, and it's much easier to believe your foam is just fat.

That is exactly what happened to me. My mom bought me some foam and it was 5/8" and wouldn't fit into cpvc and so I went to the store and got new foam. it fit cpvc perfectly.

I buy all my cpvc from a plumbing supply store called Gopher Plumbing because I get a discount since my bro is a plumber and, it is close to my house. But I did buy some from Lowes and Home Depot about a week ago since I was already there and it works fine for me. Do your darts usually fit into cpvc?

I have been harassed a lot lately over a stupid decision and I wish people would learn when enough is enough. People have even brought it to pm's and I got over this decision and I wish they would stop bringing it up. I am going to take a break from NerfHaven and the IRC and when I get back I hope people have matured a little.

You can order practice jersey's off of Eastbay.com and if everyone just bought their own or if you buy in bulk they might give you a deal. They are more expensive though.

I would like to come, as would my brother and possibly one of his friends I think. My current primary is a 3DBBQ style blaster, which is likely to be far too powerful with any kind of darts (unless I made some vinyl-tape-head darts like the doods in Taiwan use), but I'd be more than happy to fire marshmallows if people would be content with that. Would you allow that? Also, will there be a build party?

Also, you mentioned "the usual bans." I haven't been to a Nerf war since our failed attempt in December, so is it still what I think it is? Basically, no singled Titans, no plugged 4Bs, no Pulse-anythings with any number of barrels, right?

EDIT: and if mallows are nixed then I would really really like to buy a pile o' darts from you. In which case a pre-war hangout may be required to test them out.

EDIT2: I will bring a couple coolers of water and/or soda for sharing if people are chill with that.

If your gun is too powerful you can just borrow one from someone else. Also I can get you some darts. We could do a build party at my house if no one else wants to host one.
Also I am in as long as I am not on vacation.
