#121018 Modification and Paintjob Pictures

Posted by Quilan Fett on 24 August 2007 - 06:00 PM in Modifications

Hey bags, did you buy that thing off ebay? I like to think I am observant so I believe it used to be black/brown, shoot suction darts with a six barrel turret? Tell me if I'm right and please tell me some details on how it is.

It is an Ertl outdoor sportsman pump shotgun. It used to be Black and brown, originally shot a single ball, and was introduced by FA_24 who got Around 140' flat.

This is my LS 3K integration. The LS has a manual loading breech with 1/2" Brass in PETG. My AT3K was already broken, so I cut the internals down to just the airtank and the turret. The turret works, but it doesn't auto-rotate anymore.

Thanks. I still have to attach the barrel to the bolt sled so I can't try it out yet, but I plan to by midweek.

It is a shotgun foregrip (first created by CS) used to cock the LS. It is covered in duct tape.

My pump shotgun. I bought the turreted one, only to discover the turret's inherent crappiness. Here it is singled with a longshot spring added. It gets approximately 90-100 ft flat. I am thinking of reinforcing it and adding a 3B spring also. It's barrel is 19/32 brass nested in PVC which acts as a coupler for PETG and 9/16 brass.

P.S. I know the barrel is crooked.

Take a look at those guns (Mav, Firefly, DTG); they all share the same plunger. It could be argued that the LS and the Recon are high ROF guns, but the Vulcan doesn't use Streamlines. Since Hasbro tends to reuse its internals, it seems to follow that this high ROF springer would use the same guts.

I don't know about the firefly, but the mav has an inverted plunger and the DTB has a real plunger. Not the same at all.

One of the most destructive things to have on a public forum is PRIDE. When someone's ego gets in the way of good forum discussion, administrative action is needed.

Thats funny, because of a bunch of the mods/admins here have this problem.

i didnt see anyone else post this but i think the iron man magstrike has a new mold... i mean in the pictures i have seen it has "iron man" on the side instead of "magstrike"... im just saying...

Dude, I hadn't noticed that! Now I understand why it is looked just a repainted magstrike. I thought it might be NERF's version of Arachniphobia II.

All in fun.

Just wondering. I have always used only hot glue weights and my darts preform fine. Would CS's darts preform better, or should I just stick with my method?

#127218 New Nerf Blaster From Hasbro

Posted by Quilan Fett on 24 October 2007 - 08:36 PM in News

From the pictures provied by OMC it looks like the loading system may be different from the Longshot, as there's no substantial barrel in which to insert the dart, which makes me wonder if the dart will be pulled backwards instead, or if a sleeve will leave the dart in place, but close the barrel around it. It looks like it's roughly the size of a longshot, so we can probably expect similar ranges, depending on the breech.

It could have the same breech as a LS as seen in the LS carbine.

Actually, from that picture, it looks like it could be nearly as big (the plunger) but the rod just goes out the back.

I have had very varrying experiences with ACE foam. I am now out and need a new roll of 1/2" foam to fit in 17/32" brass. I checked my local ACE and their foam was more suitable for CPVC. Does Home Depot have good foam? If not, who does?

#128466 Where To Buy Modding Materials

Posted by Quilan Fett on 03 November 2007 - 06:04 PM in Modifications

Damn, your from california. You guys think everything causes cancer.

Uh, I'm from Maine, we all HAVE cancer up here, and we live with it. And it didn't say lead, it said "Contains chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer and birth defects".

Nerfturtle, try asking if you could just buy half the piece or even 3 feet or something..

EDIT; I advice not buying from ace, i just bought a pipe cutter and the blade is on crooked.

I also hear PVC's bad, but I'm not too worried.

What I do is hammar a small peice (2") of 1/2" CPVC into a Peice of 1/2" PVC. You can make the peice of PVC longer depending on the air output of your gun. With my singled shotgun, I use 6" of PVC and my Taggers work as well as stefans.
